Huanglongyan

Huanglong Longyan She Nationality Customs Tourist Area is located in Zhanggao Mountain Range, Zhangxi She Nationality Township, Dongyuan County, 59 kilometers away from Heyuan City, with an area of about 20 square kilometers. It consists of seven caves, such as Zhang Gao, Lion Reservoir, Huanglong Cave, Sidewalk Rock and Rock Rock, as well as She culture exhibition hall and She folk customs performance. Huanglong Cave is 60 meters deep and covers an area of about 3,900 square meters. Because it is deep, strange and dangerous, it is known as the "underground dragon palace". There are nine halls and eighteen bends in the cave, which can be divided into Lion Hall, Kowloon Hall, water curtain cave, Gujingdi, Jiuchongmen, Lovers Pavilion, Baixian Palace, Yaochi Room and Lingxiao Hall. This Longdong is known as "strange, deep, dangerous and secluded". Nature's uncanny workmanship makes all kinds of stalagmites, stone flowers, stone screens, stone pillars and stalactites in the cave, some of which are like lions, dragons and people, and the scenery is amazing. The danger lies in the whole cave, 60 meters deep. From top to bottom, the cave is surrounded by holes, rocks and halls. This cave is large and deep, isolated, mysterious and particularly quiet. It is warm in winter and cool in summer, which is a good place for meditation and shows people a magnificent and hazy fantasy world. Lion-shaped reservoirs, "sparrows" and many other rare exotic flowers and plants in Lingnan are also a beautiful scenery in the scenic spot.

The totem exhibition hall of She nationality and the performance of She nationality customs in the scenic spot make people appreciate the unique culture of She nationality customs.

Wenshuitang

There is a Hakka village called "Zhonglian Village" in Zhangxi She Township, Dongyuan County, the only ethnic minority township in Heyuan City.

Coming to the Wenshui Reservoir in Zhonglian Village is like entering another world, surrounded by bamboo forests, next to a rare century-old betel nut tree, like a patron saint. In the distance, Zhang Dongtao Mountain is far away, and chickens and dogs crow nearby. What a paradise.

According to the introduction of local village cadres, there are dozens of springs in Wenshui Reservoir, large and small. The water volume of Wenshui Reservoir will remain unchanged for one hundred years. Whether it is dry or rainy in Zhangxi She nationality township, the water temperature is relatively constant.

There is also an old oil mill that uses hydraulic pressure to extract oil next to Wenshui Reservoir. It was still playing a role more than 50 years ago, and it only withdrew from the historical stage in recent decades. Near the Warm Water Pond is the main rice and peanut producing area in Zhangxi She Nationality Township, and the water in the Warm Water Pond has shaded Qunxing Village and Zhonglian Village.

The famous Wenshui Reservoir is mostly due to the fish produced here. Warm water pond covers an area of several tens of acres and the water depth is 2 meters, which is a good place to raise fish. Because the fish raised in this pond are delicious, odorless, oily and sweet. Both carp and pomfret are different from fish in general areas. The fish raised in the pond is very famous in the tea city. Many farmers have a fish pond in front of their homes. All the water comes from a warm pool dedicated to fish farming. The fish produced here is in short supply in the whole Heyuan area.

Zhang Xishe Township Government also attaches great importance to the development of Wenshui Reservoir. Now the Qingyu Road leading to Wenshui Reservoir has also been repaired, with an investment of more than 200,000. According to the person in charge of the township government, it is planned to do a good job in the tourism planning of Wenshui Reservoir and turn it into another tourist attraction in Zhangxi She nationality township.

Huang Longyan and the Unsolved Mystery of Wenshui Reservoir

Huanglongyan and Wenshuitang are like two pearls in Zhangxi She nationality township, which complement each other. The locals said that when it comes to Huanglong Mountain, we can't help but mention Wenshui Reservoir. Why? There is a reason for this. According to the oldest old man in Zhonglian Village, when there was water in Huanglong Cave, the villagers poured a bamboo basket of rice husk into it in Huanglongyan. After three days and three nights, these rice husks poured out of Wenshui Reservoir. Everyone in the village was surprised, so they thought Wenshui Reservoir was the "Long Mai" of Little Huanglong. People in the village are carefully protected for fear of polluting the water in the pond, and garbage never enters the Wenshui pond. This has become a constant habit for a hundred years. So far, the water in the pool is crystal clear, and fish and shrimp can be seen.
