Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, an autonomous prefecture under the jurisdiction of Gansu Province, is a water conservation area and supply area for the Yellow River and Yangtze River, a nationally determined ecological main functional area, and an ecological civilization pioneer demonstration area. Gannan Prefecture is located on the edge of the border between Gansu Province and Sichuan Province in China. Gannan’s climate

Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture has the characteristics of a continental seasonal climate. There is abundant light but low utilization rate; insufficient heat and large vertical differences; high precipitation and significant differences in geographical distribution. Except for Zhouqu and Diebu counties, which do not have severe cold periods in some areas, the rest of the state has long winters and no summers, with short spring and autumn.

The annual average temperature in various places in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is between 1-13℃, with great regional differences. The general distribution trend is gradually decreasing from southeast to northwest. The distribution trend of temperature in the four seasons is roughly similar to the annual average temperature, decreasing from southeast to northwest.
