What documents do I need for domestic travel by plane?

When flying in China, you can use your passport, military officer's card, soldier's card and police officer's card in addition to your ID card. If not, you need to go through other formalities.

Flight procedure:

1. You need an ID card to buy a plane ticket;

2. At the airport, exchange your ID card or air ticket for boarding pass;

3. Go through the check-in procedures for items that need to be checked to avoid potential safety hazards;

4. Take the boarding pass and pass the security check;

5. Enter the terminal and wait for the flight;

6. Boarding at the designated boarding gate;

7. Pick up the checked baggage after landing.
