Which one is more worth visiting, Dujiangyan in Chengdu or Mount Qingcheng?

Qingcheng Mountain in Chengdu is worth a visit. Qingcheng Mountain is also very famous, a Taoist holy land! If you want to understand Taoist culture, you should go to Qingcheng Mountain.

If you are traveling, I suggest you go to both places, because they are both famous, but Dujiangyan is more famous than other places.

Tip: If it rains, it is not recommended to go to Qingcheng Mountain. Tourists may not be allowed to enter there, which was the case when I went.

Of course, Qingcheng Mountain, which can be said to be a natural oxygen bar, can clean your lungs, breathe fresh air that is not available in urban areas, climb mountains, exercise, and enjoy the scenery at the same time. This is a great place for a vacation.

Dujiangyan is mainly about the scenery. You can play in the water and see water conservancy projects in the summer, but you don't want to go there once or twice. Qingcheng Mountain can be visited frequently and is also a summer resort.

Chengdu Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project was built by Li Bing and his son. It is magnificent and solves the problem of flooding. It’s worth seeing. Qingcheng Mountain is one of the birthplaces of Taoism. The air quality is great, there are lots of animals to see, and the climate is pleasant. It is recommended to go to Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain because these two scenic spots are very close to each other. There are many delicious foods to try here.

The main features of Dujiangyan?

Dujiangyan Canal Head Hub mainly consists of three main projects: Yuzui, Shafeiyan and Baokoukou. Organic coordination, mutual restraint, coordinated operation, water diversion for irrigation, flood diversion and disaster reduction have the effect of dividing drought into four or six.

Yuzui Water Diversion Embankment

The fish mouth is the water diversion project of Dujiangyan, so named because of its fish mouth shape. It is located in the center of the Minjiang River and divides the Minjiang River into two rivers. The west outer river, commonly known as the Jinma River, is the main stream of the Minjiang River and is mainly used for flood discharge; the inner river at the foot of the east mountain is called an artificial water diversion channel and is mainly used for irrigation.

Feishayan

The spillway has a significant flood discharge and sand discharge function, so it is also called Feishayan. Yan Fei is one of the three major components of Dujiangyan and looks very ordinary. In fact, it plays a very important role. It can be said to be the key to ensuring that the Chengdu Plain is not flooded. The function of the flying weir is that when the water volume in the inner river exceeds the upper flow limit of the bottle mouth, the excess water will automatically overflow from the flying weir.

Another feature is flying sand. The Minjiang River rushes down from the mountains, carrying a large amount of silt and stones. If it is allowed to flow into the Neijiang River, it will block the mouth of the bottle and the irrigation area. Gufeishayan was a temporary project made of bamboo cages and cobblestones; now it has been poured with concrete to ensure the effect once and for all. Automatic flood discharge allows excess water from the inner river to be discharged to the outer river to protect the inner river from being submerged.

Baby mouth

The mouth of the bottle acts as a control door. It is a hole dug on the long ridge of Qianshan Mountain (now called Guankou Mountain and Leiyu Mountain) extending to the Minjiang River. It is an artificially cut throat to control the inflow of water from the inner river. Because it resembles the mouth of a bottle and has unique functions, it is named Baopingkou. The hilltop left on the right side of Baopingkou is named Lidui because it is separated from the mountain.

Before digging the mouth of the treasure bottle, Li was part of the Hutou Rock in Jianshan. Due to its magnificent natural landscape, the bottle mouth of Baokou is known as the left garbage dump, blocking the canyon, which is famous among the ten scenic spots in Guanyang in history.
