Geographical location
The terrain of Quantang Town is high in the middle and low on all sides. The polder area is large, accounting for about 70% of the total area of ??the town. The northeast is Tonghouwei and Dagu. Wei belongs to Linhe Wei in the west, and belongs to Shangshisanlianwei and Xiashisanlianwei in the southwest and southeast of the town. The hilly and mountainous area is small. Qiyu Mountain and Guoju Mountain are located in the middle of the town and are relatively high hills in the town. There are 17 villages in the town that belong to the polder area, and 12 villages belong to the mountainous or hilly areas or mid-mountain and half polder.
Land resources The territory is rich in land resources. The soil is latent Qinghu mud soil, with thick substrate and high organic matter content in the cultivated layer, which is convenient for farming and crop growth. There are no large lakes in the territory, but rivers and canals are densely branched. The ten-mile-long river covers an area of ??577 acres. It is the main river in the town with a total length of 5 kilometers. The northern end originates from Qiyu Mountain, and the southern end is connected to the Xihe River through Shuiqiao Gate. The large water surface covers 500 acres. Lianhuadang and 400 acres of Nanhe Dagang. Among the mineral resources, coal, gypsum ore and a small amount of petroleum have been proven. The Qiyu Coal Mine located in Qiyu is a level 2 mine (reserves to be determined) and currently mines 60,000 tons of raw coal. The anhydrite mine located in Fuyuan Village has proven reserves of 203.38 million tons of grade D anhydrite, of which 10.9188 million tons of grade I are waiting to be mined.
Tourism resources Quantang Town has four scenic spots: "Rain Prayer Temple, Meixi Monument, Tashan Archway, and Lishan Ancient Cypress". The Rain-Praying Temple is located on the top of the Rain-Praying Mountain, shaded by green pines. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and was later destroyed by war. It was rebuilt and renamed Purun Temple in 2005. The Meiwei Monument is located on the ridge of the Yong'an River. It was erected during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and recorded the records of the Qing Dynasty. It instructs the people to fight floods and protect embankments and abide by the law; the Tashan Archway is the Chastity Archway, and only some pillars and plaques remain; the Lishan Ancient Cypress is located in Desheng Village. It is more than 800 years old. It is green and lush all year round, and its canopy covers more than half an acre of land. Five people hug each other on the tree trunk, which is particularly spectacular from a distance.
