The Beijing section of the Great Wall is located in Miyun, Huairou, Pinggu, Yanqing, Changping and Mentougou from the northeast to the northwest of Beijing. It stretches for 629 kilometers. With the Ming Great Wall as the main body, it consists of two systems, east-west and northeast-southwest, which meet in the southwest of Huairou Laoshuikeng.

The Great Wall in Beijing is mostly built on high mountains and steep cliffs, and is famous for its magnificent momentum and scale. There are more than 800 city platforms, 7 1 gate and 8 Pan Ying. Famous scenic spots along the route include Badaling, Mutianyu, Gubeikou, Simatai, Shentangyu and Yanhe City. Many of them have become world-famous tourist attractions.
