Where is the Bailixia Scenic Area?

Bailixia Scenic Area is located at the northeast edge of Xuanhan County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, bordering Chengkou County, Wanyuan County and Kaixian County, 11 kilometers away from the county seat. The scenic spot consists of Bailixia and Jiangkou Lake, with a total area of 15 square kilometers, of which Bailixia scenic spot covers 65 square kilometers, with an altitude of 452 meters to 2148 meters and a gorge length of 14 kilometers.

Bailixia Scenic Area has been renamed Bashan Grand Canyon, which is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, a national geological park and a provincial-level nature reserve. It is a mountain canyon-type natural scenic area composed of karst landforms, and is the location of Tujia grass gongs and drums, a national intangible cultural heritage.

Reason for renaming the scenic spot:

As the Xuanhan Bailixia and Hebei Yeshanpo Bailixia have the same name, and the foreign scenic spot has been registered as "Bailixia" in advance, the Xuanhan Bailixia scenic spot was renamed as "Bashan Grand Canyon" in September 215. On August 28, 218, Bashan Grand Canyon opened its doors to welcome guests. In July 218, Bashan Grand Canyon was established as a national 5A-level tourist attraction and passed the provincial landscape quality evaluation.

Bailixia, a scenic spot in bred in an inner chamber, with no one knowing her, is a combination of beautiful scenery, natural resources and historical sites. In 1989, it was designated as one of the first prefecture-level scenic spots by Daxian District Administrative Office.
