1. Location
Qingdao is located in the southeast of Shandong Peninsula, bordering the Yellow Sea to the southeast, Yantai to the northeast, Weifang to the west, and Rizhao to the southwest border. The transportation is very developed, and the land, sea and air are fully developed.
Qingdao is a famous historical and cultural city.
The birthplace of Taoism in China, 6,000 years ago, human beings existed and multiplied here. In 1986, Qingdao was listed separately in the national plan, granting considerable provincial-level economic management authority. In 1994, it was listed as one of the 15 sub-provincial cities in the country and the only sub-provincial city in Shandong Province besides Jinan.
Qingdao is an important economic center city and port city on the eastern coast of China, a national historical and cultural city and scenic spot, and one of China's important foreign trade ports.
Red tiles, green trees, blue sea, blue sky, golden beaches, and multinational buildings with typical European style form a unique and beautiful coastal city known as the Switzerland of the East.

The ups and downs of Mount Laoshan on the sea, a famous Taoist holy land in China, is known as the first mountain on the sea. The old city is surrounded by red tiles, green trees and green mountains. There are buildings with different styles from 24 countries, showing the rich connotation of the blending of Eastern and Western cultures. The superior natural conditions and cultural environment make Qingdao the co-host city of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the only cooperative city of the Beijing Olympic Games. The 29th Olympic Games sailing competition was successfully held in Qingdao. Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is praised by international industry insiders as the best Olympic venue in Asia due to its excellent venue hardware facilities.
Qingdao is also a beer city. The annual Qingdao International Beer Festival is famous both at home and abroad. It is the largest beer festival in the East and is highly praised by Chinese and foreign tourists.
The Tsingtao Beer Museum and Qingdao Beer Street are the best places to learn about Tsingtao Beer’s century-old history and experience the Beer Carnival.
