Is Yuxi Cave fun?
Yuxi Karst Cave is a famous tourist destination in Yuxi cultural landscape.
The northern foot of Longma Mountain, north of Zhoucheng, Yuxi City, is a cave scenic spot. Longma Cave is 31 kilometers away from the city. On the way to the karst cave, when you reach Beicheng, you can overlook the spectacular scenery of dragons and horses at night. When you arrive at the Hongqi Reservoir, you will see the Hongqi Waterfall, which is quite spectacular. In front of the reservoir, there is a natural mineral spring well. After drinking the natural soda, continue walking for about 20 kilometers to Longma Cave. The main landscapes of this scenic spot are:
1. Longma Tengxiao
It is located on the top of Longma Mountain fifteen kilometers north of the city. The mountains are shining brightly, the sun is shining brightly, the five qi are harmonious, and the gods are eager to soar. (Kangxi's "Xinxing Prefecture Chronicles and Scenery") is the scene of Longma Mountain.
Longma Mountain looks like a dragon and horse, majestic and vast, with wings and heads in the sky, as if it is soaring. Looking from a distance, the mountains are covered with clouds and mist, and the glow is shining, just like a dragon and horse riding on the clouds and mist, straight into the sky. This spectacle is known as the dragon and horse rising into the sky. Tang Xiyu, a poet of the Qing Dynasty, once wrote a poem praising: The valiant and heroic appearance is completely different, the dragon horse is chasing the wind, and the man in the sky is clear and upright. Looking back, the others are all gone.
2. Seishui Mineral Spring
At the foot of Houbei Mountain in Daying Village, 11 kilometers northeast of Zhoucheng City, there is a Seishui Well with a long history lined with green trees. Strings of pearl-like bubbles popped up from the bottom of the well. The well water is orange and has a strong astringent taste; hence the name Astringent Water. Add sugar, rose, tamarind and other seasonings to make it sweet and pure, fragrant and delicious, with an endless aftertaste. After drinking it, I suddenly feel relieved, feeling comfortable all over and feeling refreshed. After analysis and identification by relevant departments of Yunnan Province, Yuxi Prefecture and Yuxi City, it is believed that the astringent water here is bicarbonate calcium magnesium type iron carbonated water rich in natural carbon, and contains lithium, strontium, barium, silicic acid and other diodes. It contains more than ten kinds of elements that are beneficial to human health. The water quality is excellent and it is a kind of high mineralization spring water. Drinking it in moderation can build the spleen and stomach, aid digestion, and is beneficial to health.
According to "Xinxing Prefecture Chronicles", as far back as the Ming and Qing dynasties, Seishui, a famous resort far and near, has become a natural drink that people like. In 1985, a mineral beverage factory was established in Yuxi. A new well was drilled, and scientific methods were used for quality assurance treatment to produce Yuxi mineral water.
3. Hongqi Park
Hongqi Park is about 11 kilometers north of Zhoucheng. It is located at the junction of the foothills of Libei Mountain in Longma Mountain. It is built on the basis of Hongqi Reservoir. Attractions include:
Hongqi Waterfall is a man-made wonder. Water pours from the outfall on top of the majestic dam. The waterfall is about three feet wide and more than a hundred feet high. It rushes straight down the outer slope of the dam, extremely fast and fierce, and unstoppable. The splashing water drops are like broken jade flowers. Under the sunlight, they turn into pearls of seven colors, majestic and magnificent. The waterfall falls, making a loud and rhythmic sound. The mountains ring and the valley echoes, which is breathtaking. The falling waterfall stirs up endless waves, boiling like clusters of blooming snow lotus.
The Hongqi Shiba is 35 meters high, 78 meters long, 36 meters wide, and 4 meters wide at the top. It is built with 350,000 cubic meters of stone.
There are four gates of different sizes in the Shiwai Dongtian Dam and four corresponding diversion canals. There are four culverts connecting the gates to the diversion channel. The gate of one of the culverts is built in the stone dam. The culvert is 1.2 meters wide, 1.8 meters high and 50.1 meters long, with an arched top. A series of electric lights hang on the wall, which can be described as a paradise outside of this world.
The Hongqi Pavilion stands across the arch bridge of the Hongqi River, opposite the reservoir dam. On both sides of the pavilion, there are mountains of eucalyptus trees, shady pines and cypresses, green willows, and purple bougainvillea. Gorgeous, with large bonsais of deaf flying to the sky and fish leaping into the abyss, full of poetry and painting. Sitting in the pavilion and taking a rest, you can watch the red flag flying waterfall.
Go up the stone steps to the top of the dam in Gaoxia Pinghu. The turquoise reservoir water is as flat as a mirror, clear and lovely, just like a piece of delicate and thick jasper embedded in the mountains. The majestic dam stands majestically in the valley between the two mountains, blocking the violent and wayward Luo Muqing River, forming a mighty high gorge and flat lake. Hongqi River (Luo Muqing River) is one of the main long-flowing waters in Yuxi. Legend has it that the landowner went to Jinning Qingshui Pond 40 kilometers away to divert clean water and formed this river. Because the landowner was responsible for diverting water, Mu Ying, the governor of Yunnan during the Ming Dynasty, asked Zhu Yuanzhang to make him a god, which is still praised by people today. However, the violent and willful Luo Muqing River often overflows during the rainy season and causes disasters. After the completion of the Hongqi Reservoir in 1970, the river has been able to listen to people's commands, seek benefits and avoid harm, irrigate fertile fields, and benefit the people. The red flag waterfall is a symbol of victory for people to conquer the Luo Muqing River.
4. Exterior view of Longma Cave
Longma Cave is located at the foothills of Longma Mountain in the north of the city, with an altitude of 1862 meters and 31 kilometers from the city. It is a newly discovered cave in the 1980s. There are:
There is a small river outside the Sandie Waterfall Cave. The water flows down from the top of the rock and is divided into three waterfalls, which looks spectacular.
Stone Forest in Shicheng is a stone forest formed by geological changes near Xiaowafang Village, not far from the cave. The stone pillars are scattered high and low, just like a forest. The stone forest is surrounded by two natural stone walls, so the local people also call it Stone City.
5. Interior view of Longma Cave
Longma Cave, also known as Longma Shrine, is the center of the scenic spot. The total length of Longma Cave is 310.5 meters, the widest point in the cave is 50 meters, and the highest point is 23.5 meters. The entire cave has four large and small halls and six branch caves. There are holes in the caves, and there are views in the caves, and the views are magical.
Attractions in the cave include:
Crystal Palace Entering the cave, you will be enveloped in silver, the scenery is magnificent, quiet and elegant, just like stepping into the Penglai realm, just like coming to the Crystal Palace. Looking around, you can see the ups and downs of the road, the hall is spacious and magnificent, and there are stone pillars, stalagmites, stone flowers, and stone curtains everywhere, shaped like stone pillars, like torches, like buds, like bead curtains, jade trees and ice flowers, all scattered and dazzling. Especially those strange stone and sculptures that look like people and things, and are both still and moving, are even more attractive. The Arhat pagoda rising from the ground, the twin caves covered by floating clouds, the white cloud waterfall cascading down, the Jade Lake lotus pond filled with lotus flowers, the crystal clear white jade grapes, the dancing Yuxi girls, and the roaring lions , the galloping Pegasus, in various poses, lifelike.
The hall of the Dragon Palace Cave is magnificent. It is 30 meters high, more than 40 meters wide and more than 100 meters long. It is very spacious, with white and transparent walls. Countless stalactites hang upside down from the top, like ice, exquisite and clear, with twinkling crystals. The five thick stalagmites in the hall are like giant pillars, supporting the entire vault of the hall. It seems that the sky is about to fall. , relying on the past momentum. There is a platform in the hall, shaped like an ancient stage. The stalactites on the top of the stage hang upside down, like bright lamps. The stalagmites on the side of the stage are clustered like musical instruments, which can make beautiful sounds when struck. The environment in the hall is elegant and the air is fresh, making you feel relaxed and happy.
The graceful Yuxi girls are another beautiful sight in the cave. The stalagmites at the bottom of the cave stand tall and graceful, just like a group of graceful Yuxi girls performing lanterns. Their figures are tall and beautiful, covered with pure white gauze, dancing gracefully, with silver waves, and they are ecstatic. From time to time, they hear the sound of dripping water, ding-dong, ding-dong echoing endlessly, just like big beads and small beads falling on a jade plate. Standing among them, you can't help but be enchanted.
Longma Pool The Longma Pool is a different scene. There is a clear water in the fork cave, which sparkles under the light. Legend has it that it was the drinking pool of dragon horses. An ugly stone pillar lay lonely in the pond. Its upper body stretched out of the water dejectedly, twisting painfully, as if it was groaning or repenting. There were tiny milk droplets embedded in its body, like a drop of milk. Drops of sad tears. People say that this is the demon Xia Jiangzi who was severely punished by Longma.
In the back hall of the Longma Harem Cave, a spring hangs from the top of the cave, shining like a morning star. Countless small icicles hang upside down from the ceiling, and there is a soluble carbonate droplet at the bottom of each small icicle, proving that stalactites are still forming. According to investigations by the geological department, Longma Cave belongs to the Dengying limestone of the Sinian period. This rock formation has been formed for 600 to 700 million years. The cave itself was formed about 10 million to 20 million years ago. There is a lot of water in the groundwater, and the limestone that forms the cave contains rich calcium carbonate, so the stalactites in the cave are growing vigorously, full of vitality, and are still developing.
