The Historical Background of Chibi Ancient Battlefield

Cao Cao led an army of 260,000 troops south, and it was sweeping. United Xinye and Xiangyang cities, descended from Jiangling along the Yangtze River, and fought a decisive battle with Sun Quan and Liu Bei's 50,000 allied forces in Chibi. After the defeat, he returned to Jiangbei, stationed in Wulin (now Wulin Commune in Honghu County), and fought with Sun and Liu allied forces across the river.

Later, Zhou Yu adopted Huang Gai's suggestion and attacked Cao Jun with fire. At that time, the southeast wind was in an emergency, and the fireboat went straight to Cao Jun Camp with the help of the wind. Suddenly, Cao Cao was defeated, and Sun Liu's allied forces took the opportunity to attack. Cao Cao led the rest of the people to Jiangling via Huarong Road (now northwest of Jianli City), thus laying the foundation for Wei, Shu and Wu to divide the world into three parts.
