We went on a self-guided tour and found a highly rated self-guided tour guide named Chen Kesheng online. His family has 20 or 30 self-guided tour guides. His family also has an inn at the top of the scenic spot (the inn has a separate bathroom, hot showers, more than 50 satellite TV channels, Simmons, and computers in the lobby to play games). It would make me jealous if I also open an inn. You can breathe fresh air every day from the top of the mountain and watch the sunrise and sunset every day. How wonderful is the sunset?

The three-day tour to Zhangjiajie was all-inclusive at 470 yuan/person, which was very affordable. (Including 248 yuan ticket, two nights of accommodation in the scenic spot, two breakfasts and five meals, and three days of tour guide fees) It’s quite a bargain now that I think about it. Originally, the ticket was valid for two days, but we lived in the scenic area and did not go out of the gate, so we played there for three days. Tickets are not checked when we go out of the gate anyway. The tour group can only travel for two days outside the scenic area. Thinking about it, it is more comfortable to travel alone. After spending so much money, I have to see that place to be worthy of my RMB, haha.

The third day

Visit Shentang Bay, Dianjiangtai, Helong Park, Yunqingyan, Painting Middle Reaches, Yubi Peak, Fairy Flowers, Stone Boat Going to the Sea, and West Sea Stone Forest After waiting for the scenic spots, you can take the Tianzi Mountain Cableway down the mountain. We asked Director Chen to buy us tickets to Fenghuang. After finishing the trip to Zhangjiajie, we went straight to Fenghuang. Because Fenghuang is a small town, Director Chen suggested that we don’t need to. If you hire a tour guide, you can just wander around on your own. Only when you go there do you realize that not hiring a tour guide is the right thing to do. Because it is a very small ancient city, a quiet town without any earthly distractions.
