Temple of Dandra (Egypt)
I came back from Queen's Valley that day. After more than five hours of exposure and walking, I was very tired. Going back to my residence, washing away the dust, I came to the roof platform. The Blue Nile is not far away, and more and more houses have been built along the river. I lay comfortably on the sofa, eating fruit and drinking tea, and entered a state of being half asleep and half awake.
Suddenly, a dog barked and broke my daydream. Looking inside, a blonde woman with a handbag is trying to drive away a big dog barking at her. She doesn't look like a local. She is probably a tourist living in the surrounding folk customs. Dogs also bully the weak and fear the hard, chasing her, and women's crying is becoming more and more hysterical. Finally, a young man ran to help her beat the dog away. It was quiet again, and I found my body itchy. There are many small mosquitoes. They don't bluff like dogs, but they talk about blood. I can't stay here. I fled back to my room.
Watching a documentary on the Internet, several people from Taiwan Province Province talked about traveling to Egypt. One of the big coffees said that there is a small tourist destination-the Temple of Dandra, which is well preserved and the murals are particularly special. I want to go again after I go ... What if there is such a place? I immediately searched online and found that this temple really exists, and it is less than100km away from Luxor. The next day, I went to two car companies to ask, and they all said that there was no bus to take this line and they could only take a taxi.
If you stay near the temple of Dandra for one night, take your time. If possible, I like Carl Honnore more and more. Guests search for Dandra and Keena, but there is no hotel reservation. Search with Airbnb, there is no folk custom. I'm confused. Isn't there even a hotel here? Going there on business, where do Egyptians live? Search for a long time, still failed. It dawned on me that Egypt is also like China? Hotels are divided into foreign guests and domestic guests. There should be no hotel open to foreign guests, right?
In recent years, the political situation in Egypt is turbulent and public security is tense. As a big tourist country, it is unwise to give up this cake. Important tourist cities-Luxor, Aswan, Cairo, etc. -they are all open, but the public security management is very strict. The temple of Dandra is also open, but it can only be chartered. Ferry from Hexi to the east coast, talk about taxis, and I can't remember hundreds of Egyptian pounds back and forth. On my way to Dandra, I met many checkpoints controlled by armed soldiers. Whenever I see those scattered soldiers, I immediately think of several wars they fought with Israel. I have also personally met Israeli soldiers. Their mental state is completely different, and their victory and defeat are easy to understand. Taxis have been marching in the Nile Valley Oasis, with fertile farmland, dense tree-lined roads and patches of triangular plum blossoms on both sides, making it hard for you to imagine that the Sahara Desert is not far away.
It takes about two hours to reach Dandra Temple, and there are really few tourists. From a distance, the temple of Dandra doesn't seem to have a high level of atmosphere. When I crossed the square and walked into the hall, I was immediately shocked by the exquisite hall. It is said that there are 2004 pillars in the whole temple, which are15m high and covered with exquisite sculptures-the goddess hassell. The ceiling murals in the multi-column hall at the entrance are the best preserved and the most exquisite. Blue tone, there are countless vivid images in the world, just like heaven seen through the blue sky, beautiful and wonderful. At this point, I fully understand what the barista in Taiwan Province Province said, "I want to go again after going." .
The temple of Dandra, built in Ptolemy's time, is a young temple in ancient Egypt, which has been more than 2,000 years. It was mentioned in the movie champollion. After the Ptolemy Pharaoh era of Macedonians ended, the temple of Dandra suffered a lot of pagan destruction. Whenever I see those exquisite sculptures carved by artificial roots, only mottled remnants remain-still revealing beauty and mystery, I feel particularly sorry. If it hadn't been destroyed, it would have survived to this day.
15-meter-high ceiling relief is naturally not easy to be hurt, so those bad guys thought of a clumsy way-fireworks fumigation. Archaeologists nowadays are really good. They even wipe off the smoke stains on the surface with chemical reagents. The murals of more than 2000 years have basically recovered, and the smoke color has also played a great protective role. To this end, the cultural relics protection unit deliberately left an unpolished (black square) as a comparison (below).
Ancient Egyptian mythology, very charming. Sun God, as the supreme god in mythology, first created Shu, the god of air, and Tefunute, the god of rain. The two (brother and sister) merged into one, giving birth to Gabe, the god of the earth, and the god of the sky. Gaby and Nat (or brother and sister) are always inseparable, giving birth to stars all over the sky. Their father Shu (the God of Air) couldn't stand it any longer, so he pushed them away. In the last five days of their approach, the God of the sky and the God of the earth gave birth to four children: Osiris, Isis (a brother and sister), Seth and Tiffany (another brother and sister). Osiris and Isis gave birth to a son, Horus, who is one of the protagonists in the temple of Dandra.
The zenith mural in the northernmost part of the multi-column hall of Dandra Temple depicts the tracks of Knut, the god of the sky, and the sun god. Her hands and feet are supported on the earth, and everything in her arms is natural. In ancient Egyptian mythology, the sun god was sent by Nath, the god of the sky, every morning and swallowed in his mouth at night, thus completing a process of life and death-that is, sunrise and sunset every day.
At this point, it's time to introduce the goddess Hassall. The sun god is naturally the king of gods, but Hassall is by no means an idle man. She is the most respected god in ancient Egypt. She is the god of love and beauty, wealth, dance and music, and she is omnipotent in people's hearts. She cares about ordinary people, is not afraid of rape, sympathizes with the dead, and is also the protector of mothers and children. She is like a cute calf, really cute. The Temple of Dandra is the main temple of the goddess Hassall.
It is said that she is the daughter of the sun god and the eye of the sun god, and is endowed with great energy and strength. The sun god was angry with human sins and sent her to punish human beings. She immediately became Saikh Mette, a bloodthirsty lion god, and killed people. At that time, the earth became a river of blood ... the sun god was afraid and killed them all. Who will worship? But she was red-eyed and possessed and couldn't stop. The gods had to set up a scam (wine bureau) to exchange pomegranate juice with beer as human blood. She drank and drank until she was as drunk as mud ... When she woke up, she returned to her original state and became a gentle and loving goddess of Hassall. This story illustrates two problems: first, the supreme sun god will cheat; Second, wine has been regarded as nectar and nectar since ancient times (at least 4,000 years ago). Nowadays, people promiscuous after drinking, but ancient Egyptian mythology is the other way around.
There is also a story clip that the goddess Hassall was once an eye of the sun god. When she was sent by the sun god to punish mankind, she came back only to find that the sun god had grown new eyes. She suddenly collapsed and became angry from embarrassment. In order to make peace, the sun god had to try his best to appease it, put it on his head (cobra on the head of the sun god) and take her everywhere.
There is a legend that the goddess Hassall is Horus's foster mother. Horus is the son of Osiris and Isis. Osiris, the ghost, was once the first king in the world, and was later killed by his own brother Seth, and the throne was taken away. His wife Isis (sister) tried her best to save her life, and then she gave birth to Horus. After the resurrection, Osiris was tired of human life, so he returned to the underworld and became the guardian of the underworld. Seth, the god of war, knew the existence of his nephew Horus and was bent on weeding. For the safety of Horus, Isis turned to the powerful Hassall for help. Hassall took Horus to a secret island to raise him, and helped him regain the throne from Seth and become the king of the world.
There is also a legend that Horus married Hassall, but they can only meet once a year. There are many murals in the temple of Dandra, telling the story of Horus's annual visit to Hassall. He took ardent love, flowers, wine and various gifts to see the lover he missed day and night. There is an inner hall in the temple, and the relief on the wall tells the story of their meeting frame by frame, like a montage in a movie. Among them, the scene of Horus knocking at the door is very touching. Hassall hiding behind the door, according to endure the inner excitement, she is portentously waiting for Horus knocking at the door. Horus pulled the doorknob with one hand and knocked at the door with the other, ready to open the door and jump into his lover's arms ... But they are all gods, and their emotions are restrained, which makes them more infectious. Unfortunately, however, these reliefs have been destroyed. In ancient Egyptian sculpture, women had only one breast. I wonder what this means.
In the blue multi-column hall, the south wall depicts the celebration scene of Horus and Hassall meeting (an ancient Egyptian festival). People present gifts to Hassall and Horus, among which beer and pomegranate juice are the most indispensable. The ancient Egyptians invented beer more than 5000 years ago. Many wine cans were excavated from Tutankhamun's mausoleum, which were marked with the names and brewing times of different kinds of wine.
Later, several English-speaking tour groups came, and the temple felt a little lively. I met a father and daughter from China. They are from Dubai. My daughter works in Dubai, and her father helps her with the children. My daughter specially accompanied her father to Egypt for a holiday. Traveling abroad, you can often meet compatriots from third countries, which also reflects the open flow of China.
In a basement of the temple of Dandra, there is a group of reliefs-similar to the design of light bulbs. What do these mysterious coincidences mean? Or did they start to have modern civilization more than two thousand years ago? The glory of ancient Egyptian civilization, many of which are incredible, often makes people imagine the existence of aliens with higher civilization.
In fact, for me, this temple is no different from other temples, but it looks more beautiful and dreamy. The continuation of civilization is all because human beings love beauty, describe beauty and hope that beauty can be passed down.
When I look at the exquisite sculptures and murals, my soul is attracted by them and deeply intoxicated. All kinds of people, animals, twinkling stars in the blue sky and long-standing stories tell us that Wen Mingzhen in ancient Egypt is amazing. More than two thousand years, three thousand years, four thousand years ... like the blue starry sky, mysterious and shining.
Tantra temple, I rushed for hours, but I didn't look at many of them carefully, and I didn't see many of them, which really made me unhappy. The most fascinating thing about the remains of ancient Egypt is that it contains endless information. No matter how much time you spend, you can always make new discoveries. If I have the chance to go to Egypt again, I will go to the temple of Dandra again.
