How many Chinese are there in Canada?
This picture has become popular recently.
The data in this chart shows that the income of Chinese immigrants in Canada far exceeds that of Canada.
This chart is made by citing the online survey results of a local Chinese website in Canada by the English real estate website Better Dwelling, and then comparing it with data from Statistics Canada.
From this bar chart, we can easily see that the most prominent income range of the Chinese group is between $100,000 and $150,000, accounting for 23.2%. Overall, the annual income of Chinese Canadians is high groups account for the majority.
The figure shows that the number of people in the country with an annual income between $20,000 and $40,000 is the largest, followed by $40,000 and $60,000 and $100,000 and $150,000. The Chinese are nearly $100,000 higher than the national level. From this point of view, the Chinese have really strong ability to make money!
Looking at the income ratio, the proportion of low-income Chinese in Canada is far lower than the national average. The proportion of Chinese with an annual income of more than $80,000 is more than 50%, and the proportion of Chinese with an annual income of less than $80,000 31.1%, while the national data is 39.9%. From this point of view, Chinese Canadians have boosted Canada’s overall income level to a certain extent. It feels like I was delayed accidentally.
In addition, the proportion of Chinese in the No Income and Other options in the table is much higher than that of Canadians. The reason is that some Chinese come to Canada purely for fun because of the very rich income in China. There is indeed no income. In addition, the income of some Chinese in Canada is settled in cash. If they do not pay taxes, they will not be counted by Statistics Canada. There are always many local Canadians who think that Chinese people are very rich, live in luxury houses, drive luxury cars, and must have very strong domestic assets, but few people think that Chinese people have high wages.
Some netizens take it for granted that Chinese people have high wages. This has to do with first-generation immigrants who gave up their dream jobs for high-paying but boring jobs.
Looking at school, the Chinese choose practical majors, such as business, but many white children choose psychology or art majors. The majors chosen by the Chinese have better "money paths".
Some netizens also doubted the authenticity of the survey, saying that maybe the tabulator was too high-level and deliberately lied, not treating the Chinese working in supermarkets and restaurants as Chinese. Some netizens said that many working-class Chinese have to rent out their homes, or even divide their homes for rent, and many Chinese live in small houses.
