How to make a travel plan how to make a travel plan
Simply put, the order is:
Determine the destination → prototype of intercity itinerary → book transportation and accommodation → refine and modify intercity itinerary → prepare for city trip. Experienced hands can do it in three or four days.
Suitable for 5~20 days of outbound pure self-help tour, domestic, short-distance and machine wine packages will only be simpler than this.
1. Decide where to go
Maybe I was caught by my friend Amway, maybe I read a great travel book, maybe this has always been your dream place. Or imagine going out for a few days. In short, there is a place that just appears in your mind. What should we do next?
You should know: the main destinations and their highlights, how they are arranged on the map, the general traffic situation, the local social stability and public security situation, and the general visa policy.
What you need: a map, an encyclopedia overview of destinations, a list of major attractions and information, and you can also refer to other people's itineraries.
Take Japan as an example. First, decide "Where am I going"? Then you'll find out what's interesting in these places, and then you'll know: Kanto (shopping and secondary education), Kansai (temples and ancient Japanese style), Kyushu (railways and hot springs), Hokkaido (seeing towns, flowers, snow and eating) and Okinawa (seeing the sea for vacation). Decide your travel destination according to your own preferences, seasons and budget. Another example is Taiwan Province Province. Your preference determines whether you want to go outdoors in Taichung or see the sea in Taitung. Your holiday determines whether you want to stay in Kenting, Kaohsiung and Taipei for five or six days or travel around the island for half a month.
If you happen to meet Italy, you will find that most people will go to this place, Rome (architectural art history), Milan (architecture and shopping), Florence (literary fan), Venice (sightseeing) and Naples (art and food). There are also five unpopular fishing villages (see the town), the Amalfi coast (holiday) and Sicily (movie antique). It doesn't matter where I want to go. Then you look at the map of Italy. Where are these places? How to get there smoothly can be arranged: Rome-Florence-by the way to the Leaning Tower of Pisa-Venice-Milan-back to Rome. Tang Qiang, the general route has come out.
P.S. The above are just examples, so don't dwell on the content.
When you decide, "When are you going to go to XX? It will take about X days, and I especially want to go to X city, X city, X city and X city. If I have more time, I still want to go to X city, but I'm not interested in it. " Then we can start the next step: traveling.
2. Take an intercity trip
There are too many travel tools on the market, because I used to be a practitioner, and many people have asked me "what to use for travel". My answer is "paper and pen". That sounds the same, but after a few years, I get used to it. Paper and pen are the fastest and most convenient.
The itinerary I often make is only four columns, namely:
date
Where to play during the day
Where do you stay at night?
Intercity transportation (from where to where on which day)
The planning sequence is from left to right, according to holidays and air tickets, according to time and personal preferences, according to which to play during the day and which to sleep at night, how to move between cities will naturally come out.
This itinerary can be submitted directly as visa materials, and it has been tested several times without any mistakes.
Take this year's 1 1 month "multinational+public * * * transportation+city tour" in the eastern United States and Canada as an example.
For more concentrated city tours, the weekend will be marked on the date, because the opening hours of scenic spots will change.
How long will this place last? According to the size of this place and your own preferences, there are probably some interesting things to play here for a few days, which you should know in the last step. We will leave the detailed planning of the city to the next step.
You can see the date when you were in the car all day.
You can see the time of flow between countries, which is convenient for visa filling.
It is clear where to stay every day and how many days to book.
According to "where to play during the day" and "where to stay at night", it is natural to set the approximate departure time of intercity transportation, such as morning, noon or evening, and even the exact city where meals can be eaten. The whole trip will not be in a hurry.
For another example, I took my parents to the South Island of New Zealand during the Spring Festival, a typical "self-driving+natural scenery+outdoor activities" trip. I can't remember the flight number and other details.
Because there are no scenic spots to see in places like New Zealand, it is divided into cities and towns.
Accommodation and intercity transportation are the same as last trip, and special accommodation requirements (with kitchen and airport hotel) can be marked separately.
About self-driving: the track and duration of intercity sports are marked, and the date of picking up and returning the car can be clearly seen.
About activities: activities are an important part of this trip, so another column has been added. Reservations can be made according to the date, such as whale watching, skydiving and penguin watching. Dress can also be arranged according to the plan of the day, such as wearing shoes on foot and wearing pants on bungee jumping.
There are many projects in this trip in one day. For example, playing Oamaru is on the afternoon of March 5 and the morning of March 6, so you don't have to block a place in one day-since the accommodation has been straightened out, you are not afraid of chaos.
In addition, the two trips are just examples. Everyone has different travel preferences. Please don't comment on the itinerary. If you like travel itinerary, you can use it directly.
At this time, you don't need to book anything except air tickets, but you can start preparing visa materials. It is best to have the test one month before the trip. When the whole trip is completed, ok, you can start the next step, refine and modify the trip.
3. Book transportation and accommodation, refine and modify the intercity itinerary, and make a budget.
Although the above itinerary is complete, it is not accurate. When you start booking transportation and accommodation, you will know how long it will take between the two places and when the car is cheaper. You are responsible for all the transportation and accommodation one by one. There must be some circumstances that force you to change your itinerary. During this period, the possible situations are:
1) Extend or shorten the stay in one place and make up for the time difference in another place.
2) Switch the tour order between the two places.
3) Change of accommodation: When I was in New Zealand, I planned to stay in Tekapo. When the accommodation was full, I moved to Twizel, another nearby town.
4) Cut off a relatively uninterested destination: Mei Dong's itinerary was originally planned to go to Boston, but later it was found to be in a hurry, so it was directly cut off and left to new york.
Because accommodation and transportation are listed on the list, if you book, you can cross one off to avoid duplication. Because the big head booked, the budget naturally came out. Then your accommodation and transportation have been booked and your itinerary has been updated. You can move on to the next step.
4. Book activities and city tours
Urban planning is done separately from the previous intercity planning. My preference is to mark it directly with the app or write it in my notebook. Everything else can be recorded in the mobile phone. It is best to check the following two points in advance and write them down with paper and pen: the detailed address of accommodation in each city and how to get to the place from the airport/station.
Personally, I don't like to do a series of scenic spots, but a huge list, or wish list. There are mainly two categories: "things to see" and "shops to eat". Because the previous inter-city trip has already killed the time frames in various places, so everything in the list is estimated to be time, so just throw it in. They are strung together on the spot according to the nature and geographical location of the scenic spots. For example, if you don't visit two museums a day (otherwise you will be exhausted), such as nearby, you can play in one day. It can also be changed at any time during the trip according to unexpected situations, such as the weather.
The same is true of activities, such as extreme sports, musicals, high-end restaurants and so on. These are all based on the date of the previous trip and booked in advance.
A little experience in city travel;
1) The time unit for playing is not "days", but "half a day", which is bounded by three meals.
2) If I arrange a round trip to Zhou Bianyou on the same day and choose an intermediate date, such as a five-day trip to Paris, I will put the Palace of Versailles on the second or third day.
3) If you have a relaxing day, don't live a full day. If there is an activity that night, you won't be able to catch up with the leisurely project in the afternoon. Tired one day, relaxed the next day. Whether it is light or not is judged by "whether to get to a certain place at a certain time" (such as buying a ticket).
4) You can't play endlessly, and you can't play everything. Learn to choose within a limited itinerary, and don't be reluctant to let go of relatively uninterested attractions and activities.
This step will require many raiders tools, such as a scenic spot library, topics, lists, and previous travel notes. Shamefully, because I have become more and more lazy in recent years, I usually do this job the day before I come. I often lie in the youth brigade or sit on the train to plan the next day. Just casually, the previous step of the intercity trip has been done, and it won't be chaotic. If you like to play around, this step is completely unnecessary.
Prepare for travel
1) It's not my interest to buy some new clothes for taking pictures during the trip, but there are many sister papers around me who do this.
2) Exchange money, and contact the bank in advance to increase the credit card limit if necessary.
3) If necessary, buy a local calling card or rent a portable wifi in advance. Taobao is omnipotent.
4) Summarize what to bring, such as sunscreen, washing bag and adapter.
5) Print the reservation form to be printed, copy important documents and receipts. If renting a car, the driver's license will be notarized and translated in advance.
6) Load the offline map of the first city.
It is best to start this progress 1~2 weeks before the trip, and get it all done 2 days before the trip.
Pack your bags on the last day
Then start enjoying the journey!
