Yuntai Mountain is located in the north of Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City. It was selected as one of the first batch of global geoparks in the world by UNESCO. The terrain in the Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area is complex, the climate changes with the mountain topography, the springs are abundant, the vegetation is lush, and there are more than 500 types of trees and exotic flowers and plants. Inside Yuntai Mountain, there are major scenic spots such as Hongshi Gorge, Quanpu Gorge, Tanpu Gorge, Diecai Cave, Zhuyu Peak, Wanshan Temple, and Fenglin Gorge.

The main peak, Zhuyu Peak, is 1,314 meters above sea level. You can overlook the Huaichuan Plain. Yuntai Mountain has the Yuntai Waterfall with a height of 314 meters, which is one of the largest waterfalls found in China. There is also an ancient temple in Yuntai Mountain - Wanshan Temple, built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The name of the temple was given by Emperor Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty, where you can pray for blessings and burn incense. Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area is rich in geological relics, and rock formations 3.4 billion years ago have been discovered.

Over the past 3 billion years, the Archaean, Proterozoic, Paleozoic and Cenozoic strata have been formed.
