It is reported that recently, four units in Hainan Province were listed as the second batch of national forest health pilot bases, and the forest health industry in Hainan officially started. At present, a new format combining tourism and medical care in Hainan is gradually emerging.

It is reported that a few days ago, some forest tourism bases in Hainan Province were included in the second batch of forest restoration pilot bases in China. According to the establishment requirements, these pilot bases should be equipped with practitioners with disease rehabilitation and forest recuperation and special reception service personnel, explore comprehensive scientific research combining health management, ecology and medicine, and accumulate experience for the construction of forest rehabilitation industry in China.

Wang, chief of the Forest Tourism Section of the Forestry Department of Hainan Province, said: Most of the forest tourism projects in Hainan are limited to hiking, mountaineering, yoga or hot springs. And it is not really combined with medical care, and no forest health care professional products are made for specific groups of people. At present, there is not much experience in the development of forest health care industry in China, and Hainan Province needs to explore it step by step.

It is understood that forest health care is a new format of organic combination of tourism and medical care. Some forest health care bases in China have also introduced medical structures to jointly develop forest health care products. But how to develop health care products and how to connect with specific market groups remains to be explored.
