Source of the Yangtze River

The Yangtze River originates from the glacier on the southwest side of the Gradandong Ice Peak, the main peak of the Tanggula Mountains. It has an altitude of 6548 meters and is divided into two semi-arc glaciers in the north and south. The north and south branch glaciers are 12.5 kilometers and 10.1 kilometers long respectively; their widths are 16 kilometers and 1.3 kilometers respectively. There are 5 kilometers and 2 kilometers of seracs at the end of the glacier. The glacier is huge and crystal clear, and the surrounding peaks are covered in silver and covered with clouds and fog.
