Weishui Village: a "fine summer resort" at the junction of Shanxi, Hebei and Henan provinces

Weishui Village is a village under the jurisdiction of Shicheng Town, Pingshun County. It is located in Taihang Water Township, on the south bank of the Zhuozhang River, at the junction of Shanxi, Hebei and Henan provinces. The village has 36 households and 96 people. By the end of 2017, the entire village had been lifted out of poverty.

Weishui Village used to be called "Yuyu Village". During the rainy season, the clear springs here are gurgling and there are thousands of scenes. Because the ravines are covered with reeds, it was renamed Weishui Village. In ancient times, people, mostly descendants of Yue Fei, moved here to escape famine. The houses built by the people of Weishui Village with stone materials have gone through years of baptism and precipitation, forming a unique cultural charm! There is a Jiulong Spring in the village. According to the villagers, it was named Jiulong Spring because the springs from nine nearby mountains gathered here. No matter whether the weather is cloudy or sunny, drought or flood, the water level of Jiulong Spring is constant, ensuring the drinking water of the whole village. Above Jiulong Spring, there is a Jade Emperor Temple. It is widely believed in the local area that the Jade Emperor had ten sons and eight daughters, namely the ten Sun Gods, the Seven Fairies and Princess Longji. . The Jade Emperor Temple also enshrines the Dragon King, which are traditional Chinese offerings. This temple was renovated during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.
