Canadian Visitor Visa Renewal Process

The application process is as follows:

1. The application fee for applying for documents required for parents to visit relatives is 400 yuan per person, and the English application form must be filled out by two people together. It can be obtained from the Canadian Embassy and Consulates in China or downloaded online. Fill out one copy each of the Chinese and English family forms and the Chinese description (must be obtained at the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in China). You can go directly to the Canadian Embassy in Beijing or Shanghai to get it, or you can download it online: 1. Family table, 2. Educational experience details table. (These two forms may change at any time, subject to official release.)

2. Applicant’s valid passport Applicant’s photo: Prepare four passports for each person, and use photos to notarize kinship: parent-child relationship Notarized original two-label invitation letter and envelope, with the applicant's address written on it: parents' names, true copies of the inviter's identity certificate in Canada, immigration paper, passport, visa, etc. The inviter's income record in Canada, the pay stub for the last six months, the inviter's employment certificate: the employer proves the inviter's position and salary, as well as the inviter's tax receipt for the last six months, the inviter's bank transaction account for the last six months. Daily bank account statements, time deposit certificates, etc. If the parents’ savings prove that the inviter’s local income to study in Canada is low, the parents can issue a deposit certificate of at least US$5,000 in China to show that the parents can bear the living expenses during their visit to Canada.

3. Physical examination Seniors over 65 years old should go to a designated hospital for a physical examination before receiving a visa and go through the Canadian visa procedures: prepare the above documents and send them to the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in China in person. If delivered in person, the visa and all application materials can be collected at the embassy within three days; applicants who submit the application by mail will wait for the embassy to send back the visa and all application materials. If an interview is required, the embassy will notify you separately.

4. The English application form (imm1249) of the documents required to extend the parents’ visit visa, ask for the application fee from the Canadian Immigration Bureau: 75 Canadian dollars, and pay through the bank with copies of the parents’ passports and visas. Proof of identity of the inviter (copies of passport, visa, immigration paper, etc.), copy of bank deposit certificate and return ticket (if any, please attach). Physical examination: After receiving the renewal visa, the Immigration Bureau will require the applicant to fill in the medical examination application form at the designated hospital and then send it back to Canada for the family visit visa process. Generally speaking, one month before the expiration of the family visit visa, prepare the above materials and send them to the office designated by the Canadian Immigration Bureau. Approximately three weeks later, Immigration will send a renewal or visa refusal statement to the applicant’s place of residence in Canada. The attachment to the renewal paper lists the local hospitals where applicants can choose for physical examinations, and applicants can make appointments for regular examinations. The results of the medical examination will not affect the first visa renewal. If there are any abnormalities, it will affect the next renewal.

3. Visas

1. The Ministry of Health is responsible for applying for visas and endorsements for people going abroad to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region approved by the Ministry of Health, including visas or endorsements for personnel from other departments or localities in cross-regional and cross-department overseas groups organized by the Ministry of Health;

2． When personnel from other departments or localities join a Ministry of Health group to apply for a visa abroad, they should provide the Ministry of Health with the confirmation of their overseas missions and missions to Hong Kong and Macao (except for personnel from directly affiliated units outside Beijing) and the original political approval document from the unit with the authority to approve overseas missions;

3. If the Ministry of Health is required to assist in applying for a visa for an overseas mission that is approved by a group of other departments, the unit in charge of overseas mission approval or the local passport-issuing authority should issue a letter of authorization, indicating the approval number, purpose of going abroad, and duration of stay;

4． Except for countries that need to apply for visas outside our country, you must apply for entry and transit visas for all countries you are going to and the countries you are passing through before leaving the country. In principle, you are not allowed to apply for a third-country visa abroad. If an individual group really needs to apply for a third-country visa abroad, it must state in writing the name of the group going abroad, the names of the personnel, the country of travel, the purpose, the scheduled travel date, and the reasons for requesting a visa abroad, and report it to the International Cooperation Department and countersign the consul of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs After the company notifies the country’s embassy in China, it will notify our embassy or consulate in the relevant country to assist in the process;

5. Persons going abroad (overseas) who are approved by the Ministry of Health to go to mutual visa-exemption countries, countries where visas are issued overseas, or to Macau will have an "abroad (outbound) certificate" issued by the Department of International Cooperation with their overseas mission approval documents and political approval documents.

In special circumstances, a group going abroad approved by other departments or localities requires the Ministry of Health to issue a "certificate for leaving the country". In principle, the relevant department or local passport-issuing authority should issue a letter of authorization;

6 ． According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lingsanhan (1997) No. 39 "Notice on the Activation of the 'Certificate of Passing Through Hong Kong'", whoever passes through Hong Kong (including transiting without leaving the airport), deputy provincial, ministerial level or above, and senior and deputy staff of institutions directly under the State Council, must present Approval from the State Council or the Central Leading Group for Foreign Affairs to go abroad via Hong Kong. Other personnel must present the approval document for their overseas (border) mission (the approval document must contain "traveling to the country (region) via Hong Kong") and fill in the "Application for Overseas Passport Matters Form" at the same time. Submit the "List of Persons Applying for Certification of Passing Through Hong Kong" to the Ministry of Health, and the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will handle the "Certificate of Passing Through Hong Kong";

7. The period of stay required when applying for a visa should be consistent with the time of stay abroad specified in the invitation letter. You cannot extend the stay abroad at will, nor can you privately apply to extend the visa period for tourism or activities unrelated to the mission after completing the mission;

8． In principle, full-time staff should be responsible for sending and retrieving passports and visas to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassies and consulates of various countries. Applicants from each unit and people going abroad are not allowed to send or retrieve passports by themselves. In special circumstances, full-time staff should be authorized or contacted , you can send and pick it up by yourself;

9. It is strictly prohibited for subordinate units and personnel going abroad to apply for visas from embassies and consulates of various countries on their own. All subordinate units are not allowed to apply for visas on behalf of personnel from other units, nor are they allowed to entrust any other Chinese or foreign institutions or foreigners to apply for visas on their behalf.
