Jinci ◆ A thousand-year-old ancient garden, commonly known as "Little Jiangnan in Shanxi". There are many scenic spots and historical sites, and the natural scenery is wonderful, especially the "Three Wonders of Jinci" (Difficult Old Spring, Maiden Statue, Bai Zhou). Buildings such as relic health tower and fish pond flying beam are also quite famous.

Shuangta Temple ◆ The landmark building of Taiyuan City was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The temple is named after the old tower in the southeast and the new tower in the northwest. In the long summer, the peony garden in the temple is beautiful. Climbing the Twin Towers, enjoying the stele gallery and peony have become the three major enjoyment of visiting the Twin Towers Temple.

Fenhe Park

A large-scale urban ecological landscape park with northern garden style and Fenhe regional cultural characteristics. One of the eight scenic spots in Jinyang, Fenhe Late Crossing, is located in the scenic spot.

There are two buildings in the local comprehensive hall of Shanxi Provincial Museum, including a Confucian Temple and two Chunyang palaces.

Taiyuan Confucian temple

Confucius Temple is the basic exhibition hall of the museum, and its architectural style is modeled after Qufu Confucius Temple. There is a large collection of historical relics, revolutionary relics and natural specimens here. The more famous ones are Tong Yan in Yin Dynasty and the Book of the League of Houma in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.

Duofu Temple is famous for its pleasant autumn scenery covered with red leaves. Founded in the Tang Dynasty, there are 84 Buddhist stories painted with gold powder on the gables in the Ming Dynasty temple, which are the best murals in the Ming Dynasty temple. Hongye Cave in the temple is the secluded study place of Fu Shan, a thinker in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, and the original calligraphy of Fu Shan still exists. In front of the temple, there is a brick tower with seven ruins of the Song Dynasty overlooking Taiyuan.

Silent Temple was built in the Northern Qi Dynasty, and there is a "Jinyang First Earth Buddha" built in Jintai and five years ago, commonly known as "Tutang Giant Buddha". Beside the temple, there is also the "strange cypress in the earth hall", one of the eight scenic spots in Jinyang.

Doctor dou temple

Doctor Dou was a doctor in the State of Jin in the Spring and Autumn Period. He once had the virtue of opening a canal to benefit the people, and later generations set up a shrine to commemorate him. Up to now, there are more than 50 ancestral halls. On the left of Doctor Dou Temple are Baoning Temple in Ming Dynasty and Dai Wende Mansion in modern times, and on the right is "Mengshi Cold Spring", one of the eight ancient scenic spots in Taiyuan.

Yingze Park

Yingze Lake, the largest park in Taiyuan, accounts for one third of the park area. There are many pavilions in the park, and there is an ancient Buddhist temple building. There is also a children's playground, which holds various recreational activities from time to time.

Chongshan Temple ◆

Formerly known as Baima Temple, it was founded in the Tang Dynasty. There is only one Hall of Great Compassion built in the early Ming Dynasty. There are also thousands of statues of Guanyin, Manjusri and Pu Xian, as well as Tibetan scriptures and Buddhist story paintings in the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties.

Location: South of the middle section of Ma Shang Street, yingze district, Taiyuan, take bus No.2 and No.3 and get off at Hongshi Street.

Taiyuan forest park

A total of 654.38+million evergreen trees and deciduous buckwheat trees were planted in the park, and an artificial lake covering an area of 386 mu was built, as well as the first open bird garden in the province. There is also an international standard nine-hole lighting golf course covering an area of more than 500 mu in the park.

Taiyuan Zoo

It is the only professional zoo in Shanxi Province, which is divided into three large viewing areas: large herbivores and carnivores viewing areas; Birds, small and medium-sized carnivores and omnivores; Small and medium-sized herbivorous mammals viewing area. There are national key protected animals such as giant panda, golden monkey, Siberian tiger and red-crowned crane, as well as rare animals such as white rhinoceros, giraffe, baboon and zebra. The park is shaded by trees and has complete recreational facilities.

Tianlong Mountain Scenic Area is 1700 meters above sea level, with green mountains and trees. Historically, it was the summer palace of the Northern Qi Emperor Gao Huan. There are buildings such as Daxiong House Hall, Zen Temple and Jiulian Cave. The most famous are Tianlong Mountain Grottoes and Longshan Grottoes.

Tianlongshan Grottoes

Located on the mountainside of Tianlong. Buddhist grotto statues are distributed in the east and west peaks of Tianlong Mountain. These caves were dug in different times and experienced four dynasties: Wei, Qi, Sui and Tang, most of which were Tang.

Location: Jinci Town, Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City, 36 kilometers southwest of Taiyuan City.

Longshan Grottoe

Taoist grottoes were dug in the early Yuan Dynasty. * * * Eight niches, about 40 statues, most of which are well preserved.

taishan temple

Built in the Tang Dynasty, it is the first Buddhist temple nearby. There are Ursa Hall, Guanyin Pavilion, Manjusri Hall and Pu Xian Hall in the temple. There is a lotus treasure cave behind the temple, and the water in the cave slowly flows out, which is quite interesting.

Location: Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City, 23 kilometers southwest of the urban area, north of Fengyugou.

Yurangqiao is said to be the assassination place of Yu Rang, a retainer in the late Spring and Autumn Period. There are stone tablets and shrines by the bridge.

Location: Chiqiao Village, Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City, 24 kilometers southwest of the urban area.

Lianlianta of Kaihua Temple

The temple was built in Tianbao, Northern Qi Dynasty for two years. The Buddha statue is carved on the cliff, about 60 meters high, and its scale is grand. In the Northern Song Dynasty, there were two brick pagodas, Sakyamuni and Tathagata, both of which were square, and their bases were connected, so they were called Lianlianta.

Location: Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City, southwest of the city17km, at the foot of Mengshan Mountain.

Tongzi Temple Burning Lighthouse

This temple was built by Li Hong, a Buddhist monk, in the Northern Qi Dynasty. According to legend, there are two boys hiding in this mountain, hence the name. The stone burning tower in front of the temple has experienced wind and rain for more than 400 years, and it is the oldest known stone burning tower in China.

Location: Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City, on Longshan Mountain, 20 kilometers southwest of the city.

The original ecological plantation of Pufeng Mountain Villa in Baishigou is famous for its long planting history, unique skills and fresh and natural scenery. Several grape culture festivals have been successfully held.

Venue: Baishigou, Cocoon Township, Qingxu County.

The natural landscape of Fenhe Second Reservoir Scenic Area is beautiful and peculiar, and there is a historical and cultural pearl-Xuanquan Temple, a thousand-year-old temple. There are many tourist projects in the scenic spot, such as visiting Xuanquan Temple, climbing Long Ting, visiting the dam and rafting.

Yangqu dawangmiao

Founded in Dinghai, Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1467), it is a provincial-level key cultural relic protection unit, and there is a beamless hall with a strange wooden structure in the temple.

Beidou tip: Taiyuan has strong sunshine and windy sand in spring. Moreover, due to the abundant coal production, dust is often carried in the air. Therefore, it is best to bring sunglasses, hats and other items when traveling to Taiyuan.
