Storage and fresh-keeping method of mango

1, natural preservation method

The so-called natural preservation method is to store the bought mangoes at room temperature. In fact, mango is relatively easy to preserve among many fruit varieties, so if the indoor temperature is not particularly high, just put mango in a cool, ventilated and dark place. This method can be kept for about a week.

2. Refrigeration in refrigerator

Keep it in the refrigerator, but in order to keep the mango for a long time, we can put it in a clean fresh-keeping bag, but the pockets of the fresh-keeping bag don't need to be tied up. If you tie up your pockets, there will be moisture in them. If this water system is attached to the epidermis of mango, it is easy to rot mango.

The purchase of mango:

1, look at the shape

When choosing mango, remember to choose "male mango". Generally speaking, male mangoes are longer, with more pulp, smaller stone and slender stone. On the other hand, the shape of female mango is just the opposite, with round and big bottom, bigger core and relatively less pulp. Many people don't choose mango. They always like to pick a head that looks fat and round, thinking that there must be more pulp in it. In fact, a slender mango would be better.

2. Look at this color

If it is a green mango, then this method is not applicable, so here we mainly talk about yellow mango. Usually when we buy mangoes, we can see some green, some yellow and some yellow-green in the same variety of mangoes. This is because mango is a tropical fruit, which needs to be picked and transported to various places when it is not fully mature.

If the cyan part is more, then this mango must be raw, while the dull yellow mango indicates that it has been stored for a long time, so it is best not to buy it. Mature mango is golden yellow with bright, delicate and smooth skin.

3. Look at these spots

After choosing the right color, it depends on whether there are spots or black spots on the surface of the peel. There are several light spots in the fresh and mature mango skin that are normal and will not affect the quality of the pulp inside. But if there are many spots and massive black spots, don't buy such mangoes, which means that the pulp inside may go bad after a long time. So be sure to try to choose mango without spots or with fewer spots.

Step 4 touch your hand

Finally, you can gently press the mango with your fingers to feel a little elasticity, so that the mango is full of fresh water and tastes just right. If it feels hard when pressed, it means that mango is not mature enough and tastes sour. However, there will be obvious dents when pressed for a long time, and it is not good to be too hard or too soft. Purchase is not recommended.
