Where is the coldest place in China now?

it's Mohe in Heilongjiang province.

Mohe County belongs to Daxinganling area of Heilongjiang Province, located at the northern foot of Daxinganling in Heilongjiang Province, the southern bank of the upper reaches of Heilongjiang Province and the northernmost part of the map of northeast China. Its geographical coordinates are between 121 7 ′ ~ 124 2 ′ east longitude and 52 1 ′ ~ 53 33 ′ north latitude, and it is the county with the highest latitude in China. It borders Tahe County in the east, Ergun City in Inner Mongolia in the west, genhe city in Inner Mongolia in the south and Russia across the Heilongjiang River in the north.

Mohe is a small village located on the border between China and Russia. The lowest temperature in winter can reach MINUS 3-4 degrees, and the extreme lowest temperature can reach MINUS 5 degrees, which is very cold. In Mohe, the freshly boiled water will freeze immediately when it is poured out outdoors. The average temperature in summer is also around a few degrees, so the population of Mohe is small. At some times in winter, you can also see the beautiful aurora phenomenon.

Mohe county belongs to the continental climate of cold temperate zone, and it is the county with the lowest temperature in China. In winter, controlled by the continental monsoon and Mongolian high pressure, strong cold air pushes from west to east, the precipitation drops sharply, and it is extremely cold. The severe cold period is long, and the average temperature in January, February, March, November and December is between 2.2℃ and-28℃. When the Aleutian low pressure prevails in the Pacific Ocean, the air pressure gradient between land and sea increases, and the temperature drops sharply. The temperature is generally below -4℃, and westerly or northwest winds prevail.

In spring, when the low pressure of Lake Baikal and Mongolia moves eastward through the county, it is the season with the most strong winds. In April and May, the monthly average wind speed is 1.8m/s, with little rain.

In summer, Mohe County is located in the northeast of the continental low pressure. When the Pacific subtropical high pushes the warm and humid airflow from south to north, it will increase the temperature and precipitation. The temperature is the highest in July, and the average monthly temperature is generally above 18.1℃. Due to the complex terrain, strong solar radiation and high air humidity, it is easy to produce local small-scale convection clusters, and it is easy to have local showers and thunderstorms.

In autumn, the low pressure of Lake Baikal moves eastward, cold air activities are frequent, and the temperature drops sharply. In August and September, frost appears, precipitation decreases, and the autumn air is crisp, and the "Wuhuashan" begins to appear.

Division of seasons: According to the new seasonal division standard put forward by China expert Zhang Baokun in 1934, in winter, the average temperature (the average temperature for five consecutive days) is stabilized below 1℃. In summer, it rises to above 22℃ steadily, as the beginning of summer. In spring, the average temperature rises steadily from below 1℃ to above 1℃. In autumn, the temperature dropped steadily from above 22℃ to below 22℃. According to the weather and climate, the four seasons in Mohe County are divided. The winter in Mohe County is long, which can reach 8 months and 24 days. The average temperature in January-May and October-December is .3℃-28.7℃. There is no summer in Mohe, and spring and autumn are connected. In June, July, August and September, the average temperature is 7.5℃ ~ 18.1℃ for about 12 days.
