Beijing Xiangshan has always been the favorite place for Beijingers to go in the golden autumn. It is better for everyone to take the bus. Taking a taxi there was indeed a bit of a traffic jam. You can purchase tickets for Changyou Park through the official WeChat account. Very cheap. The temple in the park was recently opened. It's best to make a reservation in advance.

Beijing Xiangshan Park Cableway

The cableway (i.e. cable car) is worth mentioning. The 80 yuan open-air cable car allows you to enjoy the entire environment of Xiangshan, maple leaves, etc. in one direction. But for me, who is afraid of heights, it was really scary. I closed my eyes and didn't dare to move all the way. The entire 18-minute journey was an ordeal for me.

There are toilets everywhere and can be used at any time.

You can also write a wish sign on the top of the mountain for 10 yuan each. It’s great to take pictures in the mountains. You can take pictures of the scenery below.

This dress is not suitable for hiking. It is recommended to wear sportswear.

Location + Introduction of Xiangshan Park Attractions

Donggong Gate - the main entrance of Xiangshan Park faces west and faces east, with bronze lions on both sides. Suolong's inscription "Jingyi Garden" is hung on the eaves of the door in red gold.

Xiangshan Temple - The ruins of Xiangshan Temple were built in Da'an in the 26th year of Dading of the Jin Dynasty. They were originally the imperial palace of the Jin Dynasty. In front of the original five-story hall, there are Shifang, Shanmen, Bell and Drum Towers, city walls, red walls, and green tiles, nestled among pines and cypresses. It is one of the twenty-eight sceneries of Xiangshan.

On the southeast slope of Xiangshan Temple, Shuangqing Villa, there is a unique and quiet courtyard called Shuangqing. There are two springs in the yard all year round, one flowing to Zhilehao and the other to Cuijing Lake. This is the origin of the word "Shuangqing". There are octagonal pavilions and towering ginkgo trees next to the pool in the courtyard.

The highest point of Xiangshan Park is 557 meters above sea level. Due to the steep terrain and difficulty in climbing, it is commonly known as "Ghost Sees Sorrow". Xiangshan Park has built three unique exhibition halls at the summit:

The "Double Ninth Pavilion" is planned to be the expected capital of the Double Ninth Festival in 1999.

The "Cloud-Stepping Pavilion" is named after the autumn rain and before the spring rain, wisps of clouds pass through the inside and outside of the pavilion like clouds.

"Purple Smoke Pavilion" is named because there is a light mist in the morning and evening, like purple clouds, and the incense burner exudes the smell of purple smoke.

Yuhua Villa - From the "Xishan Qingxue", go down through the fourth and third courtyards of Yuhua to Yuhua Villa in the center of the mountain. This is the villa behind Yuhua Temple in the Ming Dynasty. This is a great place to see red leaves.

Songzhi Park - The park is located on the west side of the main north-south tourist road. There are more than 100 first- and second-level ancient pines and cypresses in the scenic area. In the scenic area, ancient pines and glazed pagodas form a borrowed scenery, which is called "Qiongsong Pagoda Shadow".

Jian Zhai - located on the west side of the north gate of the park. This is the only well-preserved historical site. The architectural layout of the small courtyard is a garden-style courtyard full of Jiangnan charm.

Biyun Temple - the most exquisite ancient temple in Xishan Scenic Area. This temple has a history of more than 600 years. The temple not only retains the Zen characteristics of the Ming Dynasty Buddhist temples, but also absorbs and develops the architectural style of Buddhist fans.
