Travel Notes of Fenghuang Ancient City

Poetry and distance are the dreams and freedom that I have always admired, so three years ago, I had the trip that I said I would leave. I got on the train alone, walked from north to south on the land of China, enjoyed the scenery all the way, and arrived in Hunan, which I have been longing for. Hunan is a holy land with beautiful environment and outstanding people, and enjoys the reputation of "only Chu has talents and prospers in Sri Lanka".

In my trip to Hunan, what impressed me the most was the ancient city of Xiangxi-Phoenix written by Shen Congwen, and the most beautiful Hunan girl who accompanied me on my trip.

There are poems, beautiful scenery and beautiful women in the distance. This trip to Hunan is not only to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sanxiang, but also to visit a college classmate I haven't seen for years, my best friend Xiaowen. She is a real Hunan girl. She is small, with an oval face, crystal eyes, curved eyebrows and fair and greasy skin. Her nose is the most beautiful and exquisite, much like Yang Mi's nose. Mandarin has a strong Hunan accent and is gentle and euphemistic. She is a delicate and beautiful woman.

Our tourist route, from Changsha to Zhangjiajie, has been to the ancient city of Fenghuang. Because it is free travel, you need to worry about yourself, plan your own travel route, eat and stay.

Although Xiaowen is as beautiful as a princess, it is not exquisite. She has the shrewd personality of Hunan people and works as a tour guide all the way. She looks up strategies from her mobile phone, plans travel routes, chooses the most cost-effective inns and hotels, looks for local restaurants and snacks, and has a small notebook to record our financial expenses. ...

Before going to the ancient city of Fenghuang, she found out from the Internet that she had to buy tickets to go to Fenghuang, and each person was about 200 yuan. It is best for us two little girls to save money. She went to some donkey friends' websites and post bars and found some travel guides about Phoenix. She found that a donkey friend said that if some inns were booked online in advance, the innkeeper could pick up guests without tickets.

Then, Xiaowen searched some inns from Qunar. Com and Ctrip. She will call to ask if she can enter the ancient city for free. I visited about ten hotels, and finally found a special inn with a five-star rating and a good environment. The innkeeper, a warm aunt, met us at the bus stop, and we entered Phoenix smoothly for free.

The "Best Friend Phoenix Tour" began happily. We completely emptied ourselves, wore pink embroidered shoes with the same ethnic customs and braided the same pigtails, and rested and played in such a beautiful town for two days.

Phoenix, a small town that makes me happy at first sight, is not tired of getting along. Because of Shen Congwen and his delicate words, the beautiful scenery here is more poetic, quieter and better.

Shen Congwen's article once described the ancient city of Fenghuang like this:

Xiaowen and I live in Diaojiaolou Inn on the bank of Tuojiang River, and we can have a panoramic view from the terrace of the inn.

The Tuojiang River in the early morning is beautiful. Water is green and clear, like a gem, giving off beautiful light. It often rains in Mao Mao here. Looking from a distance, there are many ships cruising in the river in the distance. A quaint Hongqiao stands on the river. In the rain, the beautiful scenery unfolds slowly in the distance like an ink painting.

The ancient city of Fenghuang seems to be independent of the world. The bluestone roads in the streets and alleys have been polished smooth and delicate by time, ancient but elegant. The wooden diaojiao buildings on both sides are antique, which reflects the architectural beauty of the ancient city of Fenghuang.

The phoenix is the most beautiful at night, and the lights on the diaojiao buildings on both sides of the strait are particularly beautiful and charming, swaying layer by layer. In the night, the bars on both sides of the strait are neon-lit and colorful, swaying with the rock music played in the bar, showing the emptiness, loneliness and carnival of modern people.

Xiaowen and I are both writers and artists. Here we talk about life, silently enjoy the beautiful scenery and write poems. Immersed in the romantic scenery of the ancient city, people feel far away from the hubbub. ...

It has been three years since the trip to Phoenix, and time has passed very slowly. Inner Mongolia is far away from Hunan, so it is the only time I have seen Xiaowen since I graduated from college eight years ago. Now she is a mother of three children, but she is still slim and beautiful.

Wen, I still have the photos we took together in Phoenix, the pink embroidered shoes we bought together, and the notebook we kept accounts with. The old street we walked together, the rice noodles we ate and the inn we stayed in were all left in the dream.
