Where is Guoen Temple?

Guoen Temple is located in Longshan Hot Spring Tourist Resort, No. 95 Zhongshan Road.

In the Guoen Temple, there are stone archway in front of the temple, mountain gate in front of the temple, Dharma Protector Hall, Life Release Pond, Pearl Pavilion, First Archway, Vajra Hall, Main Hall, and Sixth Patriarch Hall; there are two rooms on the front, rear, and left of the temple. Ksitigarbha Hall, Bodhidharma Hall, Manjusri Samantabhadra Hall, Dashizhi Hall, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Guest Hall, Zhai Hall, Zen Hall, Sutra Recording Hall and other halls; on the left side of the temple are the Pagoda of Repayment of Encouragement, the Buddha Relic Site, and the Buddha Relic Hall , the Sixth Patriarch Memorial Hall, the Merit Hall, the Yuantong Hall (Guanyin Hall), the Abbot’s Room, and the thousand-year-old Buddha lychee tree planted by the Sixth Patriarch.

On the right side of the temple are the graves of the six grandparents, Jingxin Pavilion, Homesickness Pavilion, Mingquan Pavilion and Yushen Pavilion; behind the temple is Zhuoxi Spring. The three main halls of Guoen Temple and the Shanmen Archway still retain the architectural form and decorative craftsmanship of the Ming Dynasty, and have high artistic value. Since the Tang Dynasty, Guoen Temple has been regarded by the Buddhist community as the first sacred site in Lingnan, and is known as "the blessed land of the Southern Sect and the famous mountain in Eastern Guangdong".

Looking from west to east, the main circulation line of the middle road is the third. One archway, Tianwang Hall, Main Hall and Sixth Patriarch Hall; the northern side road is the Zhaifang, Guest Hall, Dashizhi Hall, Manjusri Samantabhadra Hall, Zen Hall; the southern side road is the Zhaitang, Bodhidharma Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, Dharma Hall.

The buildings in the southern part of Guoen Temple are mainly auxiliary buildings. Its core is the commanding heights of Guoen Temple - the Baoen Pagoda. To the north of the tower is the Bodhidharma Hall, the main side hall of the temple; to the west of the tower On the side is the abbot's room, and to the south of the abbot's room is a row of inverted auxiliary rooms; on the south side of the tower is the Yuantong Hall; on the east side of the tower is the last building of the side courtyard, and the relic halls are distributed side by side from north to south. , the Sixth Patriarch Memorial Hall and the Merit Hall.
