Malaysia Tourism: The Main Attractions of Malacca

Lead: When I came to Malacca, I played the heartbeat of crossing-crossing history and crossing the country. Besides the popular scenic spots, there are many places worth seeing, such as Malacca River, Heroes Square, Kampong JiNing Mosque, Portuguese galleon, Malacca Tower, Portuguese Village, Malay Sultan Waterwheel, Sambo Temple and so on. Therefore, don't think that Malacca is small and you can rush by. If you have enough time, you'd better stay in Malacca for one or two nights. In addition to enjoying the excitement of Junker Street, you can also sit by the Malacca River, watch the river flow quietly and pursue the past like a poet. In a word, the beauty of Malacca is implicit and simple, which needs to be appreciated slowly with your heart.

0 1, Strait Mosque

It is a mosque in Malacca, Malaysia, located on the man-made island of Malacca. If the water level is high, it looks like a floating building. The Strait Mosque in the sunset is very beautiful. The chanting from the radio was intertwined with the sound of the waves. The golden dome is set against the setting sun. It is very pleasant to sit on the beach dam and enjoy the beautiful scenery. After dark, the mosque will light up, and the whole building will turn into another color, printed with moonlight, which has a unique charm.

02. Dutch red house

The Dutch red house is a red building left over from the Dutch colonial period in Malacca. Built in 1650, it is the oldest Dutch building in Southeast Asia. The red house was once the official residence of the Dutch governor and the administrative center of the Dutch in the18th century. Later, it was changed to the administrative center of the British, and now it is the Malacca Museum, which displays the historical relics of the Malacca Dynasty, the Netherlands, Britain and Portugal. Although the brick walls, doors and windows of this building are all Dutch-style, as the top floor of the bedroom of the former governor, it is full of China myth decoration.

03, San Diego ancient city gate

In the 65438+5th century, because the Sultan of Malacca rejected the unequal trade demands of the Portuguese, the Portuguese occupied Malacca by force and built the Afamosa Castle to resist the attack of the Sudanese army. Among them, the ancient city gate of Santiago is one of the four passages to enter the castle of Alfamosa in Portugal. But then Portugal was defeated by the Netherlands, Malacca changed hands, the castle was rebuilt and expanded, and the brand of "VOC" (Dutch East India Company) was added to the door. Then the British army invaded, and the solid and thick castle almost destroyed the British army, so after the victory of the war, the British army decided to destroy the castle. Later, due to various disturbances, although the castle was destroyed, the Gu Men of San Diego still existed. This sturdy city gate still stands alone today, once again witnessing the troubled history of Malacca.

04. Sao Paulo Mountain

It is an ancient church in Malacca, Malaysia, originally built in 152 1. Located at the top of Sao Paulo, it is part of the Malacca Museum today (including historical buildings such as the ruins of the ancient city gate of Santiago and the office of the Dutch governor).

No.05 Junker Street

Jonker Street is the busiest street in downtown Malacca, especially suitable for activities after nightfall. The word Jonker comes from Dutch Jonkvrouw, which means Dutch aristocrat, so the street name is literally translated as "Dutch aristocratic street". Junker Street, Antique Street, City Hall Street and holland street in Malacca are all referred to by China people here. Once in Junker Street, all the people lived in the rich and powerful Nyonya, Malacca (/kloc-descendants of the Ming Dynasty who lived in Malacca, Indonesia and Singapore in the early 5th century, born after China married Malays). Rows of big houses along the street, the layout, furnishings, furniture and building materials are all shipped from China. Today, the lobby of the Overseas Chinese Inn (Babawu) still has furniture from the Qing Dynasty. The old photos hanging on the wall are probably the bosses of the Qing Dynasty, and the bosses are descendants of Baba and Nyonya.

06, maritime museum

Maritime museum, located in a fake Flor de la Mar, has collected many pictures and relics left over from the Sultan, Portuguese, Dutch and British rule, including maps and nautical charts at that time. Old and heavy containers are also on display.

07. Zhenghe Cultural Center

To commemorate the 600th anniversary of Zheng He's voyage to the West, overseas Chinese in Singapore and Malaysia invested 30 million yuan to build the A Zheng River Cultural Center in the former site of Zheng He's Guan Cang in Malacca. With a total area of 8,000 square meters, this cultural center has three floors and is divided into three parts: Zheng He in China, Zheng He in Malacca and Zheng He's Treasure Boat. It shows hundreds of porcelain, seafood and treasure ship models that Zheng He carried with him when he went to the West, and also shows the life scene of Zheng He's fleet. China Ancient Museum has opened a teahouse and a souvenir center of Zheng He.

08. Kampong JiNing Mosque

The original building was a wooden structure, which was built by Indian Muslim businessmen in 1748 and converted into a brick building in 1872. This mosque is one of the traditional mosques in Malacca. It still retains its original design, mixing Sumatra, China, Hinduism and Malacca Malay styles. It's called Baita, which is similar to a stupa. It has a bath and a portal arch and was built at the same time as the main building.

09, Malacca Islamic Museum

We can feel the influence of Islamic culture on Malacca from the collections in the museum. There are eight exhibition halls, arranged in chronological order when Islam entered Malacca.

According to the World Cultural Heritage Conference held by UNESCO in Quebec, Canada at 9: 30am local time on July 7th, 2008 (9: 30am Malaysian time), it was announced that Malacca was officially listed in the World Heritage List. There are many historical sites in Malacca, and it is impossible to list them one by one due to the limitation of space.
