Why did Yunnan set up 14 tourist police brigade?

In order to standardize the order of the tourism market, rectify outstanding public security problems related to tourism and rebuild tourists' sense of security, Yunnan Province has set up a special tourism police team throughout the province since last year. At present, Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Xishuangbanna and Diqing have set up tourist police detachments, and Tengchong, Ruili and other 14 county (city, district) public security bureaus have set up 14 tourist police brigade. There are 65,438 full-time tourist police and more than 400 full-time tourist auxiliary police in the province.

It is reported that after receiving the alarm from the masses, the tourist police must strictly implement the first-receiving responsibility system, fully implement the "1, 3, 5" minute police response, accept cases under their jurisdiction in time, and take the initiative to transfer cases that do not belong to their own jurisdiction to relevant administrative departments.

According to the requirements of Yunnan tourism market rectification, Yunnan police launched a one-year special rectification campaign on Yunnan tourism market from April 1 this year, and identified Kunming, Baoshan, Xishuangbanna, Dali, Dehong, Lijiang and Diqing as key rectification areas.

Nowadays, pharmacies with "drug support" fraud along the scenic roads in Lijiang City have been completely banned, and "wine support" fraud has been effectively curbed. During the five-month period from April 18 to September 18 this year, Lijiang Public Security Bureau investigated 32 criminal public security cases involving tourism, such as fraud and forced trading, and cracked down on 455 people. Lijiang has built a graded response 14 police booth in the tourist core area, which has become a police station, service desk and mediation room around tourists.

It is believed that the establishment of tourist police will standardize the local tourism industry.
