Legends and stories of scenic spots 1. A woman sees the legend of Zhen Shi.

According to legend, in ancient times, there lived a newly married couple on the north slope of Wushan City. The husband's name is Shiqiao and the wife's name is Gao Jiong. The couple love each other and are inseparable.

The good times didn't last long. Less than a year after their marriage, they suffered a catastrophe. One night in the middle of the night, five big men suddenly broke in outside, tied up the stone bridge without asking indiscriminately, pulled it up and left. They cried with their heads in their arms when they left. Shiqiao said to his wife, "As long as I don't die, I will definitely come back. You should take care of yourself and don't owe me anything. " The wife also said to her husband in tears, "Even if Wushan becomes flat and the Yangtze River is cut off, I won't change my mind until you come back." Then the stone bridge was moved.

Since the bridge was taken away, Gao Jiong has been fidgeting all day, and his eyes have never been broken. She also climbed to the top of Yang Tai every day to burn incense and kowtow, praying for the Bodhisattva to bless her husband's early return. It doesn't matter whether it is sunny or rainy, windy or snowy. She has been looking for it for more than ten years, but she still hasn't seen the shadow of her husband coming back. Gao Jiong is old, his hair is white and his tears are dry. She still climbs into the sky every day. Over time, the stone she stood on stepped out of her foot, and tears dripped from the stone and became two springs.

One night, Gao Jiong stood on the balcony, praying to God and worshiping Buddha. Suddenly it was dark and cloudy, the wind was blowing hard and it was raining cats and dogs. Before long, the balcony was washed away by the flash flood, and Gao Jiong's foot was stuck in the middle of the stone. The next day, he became a stone man and stood halfway up the mountain. This is the "women's chastity stone", one of the eight scenic spots in Wushan. Later, people called this kind of stone "Wang Mi Stone".

After Wang Jian, a poet in the middle Tang Dynasty, went to Wushan, he also wrote a poem "Poem of Wang Fu":

Wangfu River is long,

Turn to stone and never look back,

It's windy and rainy on the mountain every day.

If pedestrians can come back, stones should also be able to talk.

Legend of scenic spots ii. Chu balcony (Yang Yuntai)

At the end of the Warring States Period, King Xiang of Chu and Song Yu, a writer, went to Mengze to play. From a distance, they saw the scenery of the Gaotang Dynasty shrouded in mist and changed endlessly in an instant. King Xiang of Chu couldn't help but be curious and asked, "What vitality is this?" Song Yu replied: "This is the so-called' facing the clouds'!" King Xiang of Chu was even more puzzled and asked, "What do you mean by' Chaoyun'?" So Song Yu told him a romantic story: Once upon a time, Chu Huaiwang visited Wushan Gaotang, and the beautiful scenery of Xiajiang made him relaxed and happy. He felt a little tired, so he took a nap and dreamed that a charming woman said to him, "I am the goddess of Wushan." I heard that the king came to Gaotang and came to recommend a pillow. " This passionate marriage of "seeking the phoenix" made Chu Huaiwang intoxicated and obsessed, and interpreted a romantic story that was told through the ages. When the woman was leaving, she told Chu Huaiwang, "I live at the southern foot of Wushan, the steepest part of Gao Qiu. It turns into clouds in the morning and into rain at night. I live under the balcony day and night. " The next morning, Chu Huaiwang got up early and went to see for himself. As expected, it was exactly what the woman in the dream said, so she set up a temple named "Chaoyun" for her. This romantic love story left several allusions, so later generations took "Wushan Dream" (or "Gaotang Dream") and "Rain in the Clouds" as pronouns for men and women, and "Wushan Yu Yun" was also endowed with special cultural meanings. Thus, the word "balcony" has become a code word for men and women.

Legends and stories of scenic spots III. Book table (goddess altar)

The first person who completely remolded the image of the goddess was Du Guangting, a Taoist priest in the late Tang and Five Dynasties. In his book "The Fairy Wandering in the City Wall", he called the Wushan Goddess "Mrs. Yunhua", named Yao Ji, a 23-year-old female queen of the West, who was tempered by the return air and had a graceful appearance.

"Yucheng Fairy Tale" describes a story: Yao Ji drove around the East China Sea. On his way home, he passed by the Yangtze River and saw Wushan "with tall and straight peaks and beautiful forests and valleys", especially a towering boulder, which seemed like a natural altar, and he couldn't help but linger. At that time, Dayu was struggling to control water and was marching at the foot of Wushan Mountain. Wind and rain, the earth is broken. It is difficult to subdue it by manpower alone, so I turned to Yao Ji for help. Yao Ji immediately ordered the treatment of the girl and awarded Dayu a book to summon ghosts and gods. She also served as the goddess of crazy Zhang, Huang Mo, Daming, Tong Lu under the jurisdiction of the police station, helping Dayu to cut through the thorns, dredge the waves and lead the surging river to the east. Full of gratitude, Dayu climbed to the top of Wushan Mountain to thank Yao Ji. What he saw, however, was that the goddess had become a slender boulder, and sometimes it would suddenly fly and dissipate into a frivolous and ethereal cloud. Sometimes it comes to an abrupt end and gathers into a rainy (dense rain and snow) night rain; Sometimes it becomes a vigorous black dragon roaming in the sea of clouds, and sometimes it becomes a light crane soaring on the top of the mountain. Ever-changing and unpredictable; All kinds of things make people even more inaccessible. Dayu became suspicious and thought Yao Ji was cunning and grotesque, not a real fairy, so he quietly asked Tong Lu. Lu Tong said, "Your Majesty used to worship the Three-Yuan Daojun as a teacher, and she was the lady of Yunhua Palace. She is condensed by the little Yin qi of the Empress Dowager Fairy Palace, which is in harmony with the Tao. Of course, we can't regard it as the flesh and blood of the world. " It is only common for the Lord to see change. "In order to dispel Dayu's doubts, Yao Ji specially summoned Dayu, asked him to sit down, gently opened his lips, and solemnly said," You have a long way to go to fulfill the grand aspiration of dredging the valley and Wan Chuan! God has mercy on your heart, and will give you a real treasure, which can drive tigers and leopards on land, drop dragons in water, cut off all evil, control evil and make meritorious deeds. "Earlier, the book I gave you can also go from fire to water, saying it's a ghost, gathering tigers and leopards, calling six Ding (Taoist Vulcan), hiding in eight places, reversing the five stars, having the power of immortality and sharing the same life with heaven and earth. Can't take it lightly! " So he ordered the maid Ling Ronghua to take out "Dan Yu paper (book box, referring to people's books)" and open the "Qing Bao Qing Wen" to Dayu. Dayu bowed down devoutly and went away. With the help of Chen Geng, Yu Yu and other gods, he made great achievements in flood control.

The legend of Dayu's flood control is a mythical expression of the history of ancient ancestors' struggle against floods and tenacious survival. However, Dayu's success is due to the help of Wushan Goddess. While remembering Dayu's great achievements, people also feel reverence for Yao Ji. In the Ming Dynasty, Fan Shoudao's Examination of the Goddess pointed out that "the speaker said that in eternal life, the lady's contribution is not below", so she should naturally enjoy the treatment of setting up a temple for sacrifice; Yang Xueqi, the academic supervisor of the candidate county in the late Qing Dynasty, also thought that "the power of Yu is divine power". Therefore, it is said that a platform behind the Goddess Temple in Feng Fei is the place where Yao Ji teaches Dayu's treasure, which is called the "book-giving platform".

As early as when Du Guangting transformed the fairy tale, The Fairy Tale of Yucheng left the name of "Goddess Altar". Lu You's "Shu Guo Ji" also said that halfway up the mountain behind the Goddess Temple, "there is a flat stone altar, and it is said that when you meet the Goddess here, you will win the trust." It is also an excellent place to enjoy the scenery of the Twelve Peaks in Wushan. Lu You claimed: "Looking at the twelve peaks on the altar is like an obstacle." The immortal in Yongcheng also said that the bamboo beside the goddess altar danced and hung like a broom. Whenever dead leaves and flying objects fall on the altar, bamboo dances in the wind, cleaning the altar clean and never being polluted. Therefore, Chu people have sacrificed to the goddess here for generations. These anecdotes add to the mystery of the gift desk and become one of the famous "three sets" in Wushan history.

Legends and stories of scenic spots. long men x

Legend has it that in ancient times, the Temple of Heaven scattered twenty-four night pearls to the world every year. Whoever finds these night pearls will make a fortune, and whoever swallows them will become a dragon.

From the lower reaches of Daning River to Wushan, there is a mountain called Luoshan. There is a woodcutter on the mountain of Luoshan, who lives by cutting and selling firewood all the year round. There is often no food for the night at home. One day, he suddenly found a night pearl in a crack in the stone. He put it in a jar full of rice. Strange to say, he was worried about not eating breakfast rice the next morning. When he opened the lid of the jar, he saw Mr. Bai's rice filled a whole jar. From then on, the woodcutter no longer had to worry about food and clothing.

It's a pity that a rich man on Dongshan knew about it and became treacherous. One night, before the woodcutter came back from selling firewood, he took a group of servants to copy the woodcutter's house, snatched the rice and the night pearl. The rich man was afraid that others would know about it, so he hid it in his mouth, but as soon as he spoke, the night pearl snorted and fell into his stomach.

When the night pearl is swallowed, the rich man's heart is on fire, his mouth is thirsty and he wants to drink water. He didn't drink enough water in the jar, so he ran to the stream to drink. He had just run to the river when suddenly there was thunder and lightning in the sky, a strong wind and a downpour. The rich man was knocked down by thunder and turned into a dragon, with horns and scales all over his head. The dragon spit out a flood and went straight to Fengjiaba in the lower reaches of Daning River.

Just then, Erlang, who visited the Three Gorges flood, saw the smoke billowing from the Daning estuary and the flood was terrible. He pressed the cloud head on Luoshan Mountain in the lower reaches of Daning River and whipped the dragon with his hand. When the dragon saw Erlang God, he quickly knelt on a bluestone board and begged Erlang God to forgive him. Erlang God aimed the dragon whip at Luoshan, a cliff on the other side of the stream. The dragon got the message, so he jumped on the cliff and made a hole in the mountain on this side of the stream. This is the "Dragon Cave". As soon as the tail wagged, two deep ditches were dragged out of the mountain, which is now the "Dragon Cave Ditch".

Longdong goes straight through the bottom of Daning River, and the dragon flows southward to the Yangtze River, dividing the Luoshan vein into two, with a gorge in the middle like a door. People named it "Luomen" and this canyon is called "Luomen Gorge". Later, people called Luomen Gorge "Longmen Gorge".
