Xiamen Travel Guide 2013

Go for a walk on Huandao Road. Walk from Xiamen University to Baicheng Beach. There are three bikes on the beach. You can ride a bike to soothe your tense nerves after getting off the plane. You can also take a look at the scenery near Yanwu Bridge and Huandao Road and enjoy the sea breeze.

The next day you can go to Xiamen Zhongshan Road and nearby areas. If you are a girl, go to Jukou Street opposite Tiger City. Also known as Women’s Street, you can check it out. It's a small alley, but the clothes are very beautiful. There is a shop selling fried squid sticks on Jukou Street, which is very chewy and delicious. There is a shop selling bamboo shoot jelly at Jukou Street. Although the bamboo shoot jelly there is a bit expensive, it is also very delicious. After eating, you can go to the underground first floor of Tiger City for a walk. There are many small boutiques, which are very interesting. There is also a pizza shop on the first floor. After coming out, there was a shop selling baked potato cubes at the back door of Tiger City, which was also very delicious. Then you can find a "Marshmallow Coffee" at No. 18, Hexiang East Road, which is very comfortable. It can relieve your sore feet from shopping. Set off for the ferry at 4pm. Because the sun is very strong in Xiamen in August! So it’s best to go there around four o’clock. When you arrive at Gulangyu Island, take a stroll around. It is recommended to buy water before going, because water is more expensive and difficult to buy when you go to the back. Finally, there is a BBC private cake shop at No. 8 Longtou Road, Gulangyu Island. The coffee inside is not very good, but the cakes and pies are excellent! You can try it. It is more suitable for public tastes than the Gulangyu pies sold in small shops. Recommend the green tea pie. When you come back from Gulangyu Island in the evening, you must eat Xiamen’s food stalls, which are very good. There is a Baishi Fortress food stall under the Lover's Bridge on Huandao Road. It's great to eat seafood and drink beer while enjoying the sea breeze. If you can't sleep at night, you can go to music

pub. Mengtian Music on the second floor of Federal Plaza on Hexiang West Road is great. The owner is A Bin, the first guitarist in Xiamen.

On the third day, you can choose a time period to go to the Riyue Valley to soak in hot springs. Then you can go to Guanyin Mountain to swim in the sea water. The bathing beach in Guanyin Mountain is better. Then you can go to Nanhua Road to take a look! It seems not far from the International Youth Hostel. The cats at Café Ruak are famous! Be sure to pet them. There is also an unknown old railway that has been abandoned. It is very interesting to bring a camera to take pictures. Near the General Temple. There is a big cave near the Great Victory~ very suitable for exploration! This railway has a beautiful end point, at a tree-lined avenue.

On the fourth day, you can go to Bishan Road in Gulangyu Island. Where are the largest and most beautiful gate towers and steps on Gulangyu Island? There is a lottery viewing building there, with a white cat and an uncle inside. My uncle will warmly invite you to go up! Of course there will be a small visiting fee. When you climb out of the small window on the second floor and climb up the creaky bamboo stairs to the roof of the third floor, this uncle will tell you some legends and gossip, and everything will be very intoxicating. The small grocery store at No. 1 Bishan Road is always open~ and it gives you a strange feeling that the owner has been sleeping on that old bench for many years. There was an abandoned children's playground with swings. Be sure to stand at the Guancai Tower to see the clouds and the whole view of Gulangyu Island! You can pick fruits and inspect flower seeds in Lin Wenqing’s hometown, and you can also explore the secrets.

The above is just my personal opinion and the scenic spots that I think are important, you can feel free to express it~
