Introduction of balague Sect in Shangri-La Grand Canyon

Balague lives in balague Grand Canyon in Shangri-La, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The scenery is magnificent. Gangqu River was squeezed by the new orogeny at the bottom of the valley at an altitude of 1000 meters, while the two banks faced the majestic peaks as high as 4,500 meters. At the end of the canyon is Zongxue Mountain in balague, which is 5545 meters above sea level. It is one of the three sacred mountains in Kangba area. Strange light and shadow and uneven rocks can be seen everywhere in the canyon. Balague Zong Canyon has been isolated from the rest of the world. There is no electricity and no access, and the villagers are simple and sincere. The steep mountain road of 28 kilometers is the only way to contact with the outside world in Bala Village, and mules and horses are the only means of transportation here. The villagers, mountains, water and all kinds of creatures in the canyon have been peacefully and peacefully blended together in the place of * * for hundreds of years, so that the mountains, the moon, the fog and the clouds can give full play to their creativity and all the sculptures are dreamlike. ...

In Tibetan, "heating contest" means Guanyin Bodhisattva. Looking from a distance, this reverie-filled, Guanyin-like pictographic stone peak, with a bottle of nectar in its hand, stands in the canyons and mountain streams in the north of us, kindly and silently. It seems to observe and protect all beings in the canyon all the time, and it also seems to welcome distinguished guests to Jing Zong District of balague. The local old man said that Guanyin stone can meet people's wishes and demands. Historically, villagers who built bridges on Gangqu River prayed to Guanyin Stone when they were hungry, asking for Guanyin's help, and the Bodhisattva would give people food.

Naidang means Ping Zi with residence. This is a "summer resort" for people in Bala village. Every household has a small bunker-style building three or four meters high, which is divided into two floors. The lower floor is the cowshed, and the upper floor is occupied by people. A wooden ladder was built between the two floors. Stone houses are connected with stone houses, one by one, forming a stone street lane of alpine pasture. Every household has a window leading to each other's home, and important things can spread throughout the village as long as they are told through the window. Pasture village, composed of small buildings in the form of stone bunkers on subalpine meadows, is unique in the northwest Yunnan Plateau and may also be unique in Tibetan areas throughout the country.

Located in the north of Zongshen Mountain in balague, the natural stupa is one of the main scenic spots. This natural pyramid-shaped peak stands under the snowy sky and looks like a stupa used to store relics and scriptures in Tibetan religion. Therefore, it is called "natural stupa". There are two mountains in front of the stupa, which are shaped like lamas sitting in meditation and spreading scriptures. Natural pagodas, scriptures and old lamas are called "Buddha, Dharma and Monk" in people's images.

This is a millennium bodhi tree. It has gone through thousands of years, living in this magical land of balague, leaning against the cliffs, and after thousands of years of wind and rain, it is still lush and full of vitality, as if it were talking to history.

Bala is a transliteration of Tibetan, which means a Tibetan village from Batang. According to legend, a long time ago, a general in King Gelsall was tired of the perennial war life. One day, I dreamed that three goddesses took him to a fairyland-like canyon, where there was no war and no worries.

Shangri-La Grand Canyon National Park consists of two scenic spots: Zongtang Canyon in balague, Nishi and Birong Canyon in Gezan. In the past, tourists had to stop here because there were cliffs on both sides of the river and there was no way to enter the Grand Canyon along the river. Even the villagers in Bala can't reach the valley, and those who can't reach the dust can only meditate.

"Nanka" means heaven, "Zhuorong" means a deep valley cut by running water, and "Nanka Zhuorong" means Tian Tong Canyon. It is said that Nankazhuo ascended to the sky because this deep canyon leads directly to the highest peak in Shangri-La County-the pyramid-shaped Zongbing Peak in balague. It is a river formed by snowmelt water from balague Zong Glacier, which was washed and cut along faults and fissures in the stratum for millions of years, so people call this glacier river Nankaraqu-Tianhe Shenshui.

How to get to the balague Sect in Shangri-La Grand Canyon;

Rent a car from Shangri-La to Shuizhuang, Nixi Town. After about 5 hours, you will arrive at the villagers' reception area, wrap the bag with a caravan, and walk in plain clothes for 3 hours to reach Bala Village. From Bala Village to Naidang Ranch, we still rode horses with luggage on our backs and walked in plain clothes, and arrived in 6 hours.

Rent a car from Shangri-La to Shuizhuang, Nixi Town. After about 5 hours, you will arrive at the villagers' reception area, wrap the bag with a caravan, and walk in plain clothes for 3 hours to reach Bala Village. From Bala Village to Naidang Ranch, we still rode horses with luggage on our backs and walked in plain clothes, and arrived in 6 hours.

Drive 70km from Zhongdian City along Deqin Road (Line 2 14), get off the main road and enter balague Jing Zong District, then drive 10km to the tourist reception station-Shuizhuang Hotel.

Aviation: Diqing has its own civil aviation airport-Shangri-La Airport. Shangri-La Airport has opened flights to Kunming, Chengdu, Lhasa, Beijing, Shanghai and Xishuangbanna, but some of them are diverted from Kunming instead of direct flights. Kunming airport has opened flights to almost all major cities. Visitors who need to fly to Diqing can transfer from Kunming to Diqing.
