Shanghai Jinqiao Road belongs to Pudong New Area, Shanghai, and Jinqiao Road (Jinqiao Lu) is in the middle of Pudong New Area. It starts from Qingning Temple on the bank of Huangpu River in the north and ends at Longdong Avenue in the south. It is 40.0 meters wide and the roadway is 15.0 to 22.0 meters wide.

In 1975, the Shangchuan Railway Building was demolished and renamed Shangchuan Road. In 1992, it was widened and renovated, and its current name was changed to Shanghai Jinqiao.
