Observation diary of bird watching in Taihu Lake

Taihu Fairy Island is located in Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, with beautiful scenery and surrounded by trees. The last group activity in our elementary school career was in Yuantouzhu, and the first stop there was Taihu Fairy Island.

We need to take a cruise to board the Taihu Fairy Island. During the 12 minutes on the boat, we kept laughing. Accompanied by the roar of the ship and the laughter of the classmates, our bird watching trip to Taihu Lake kicked off.

The whistle of the ship startled the white gulls on the lake. They flew up and down, their white wingtips drew a graceful arc in the air, and soared in the sky. It's a pity that we are sitting in the cabin, and we can only appreciate the bird's vigorous posture through the window, 360 degrees. I really envy the classmates sitting on the top of the boat!

"Let's feed the birds!" I suggested to the students around me, and everyone agreed unanimously. So I opened a bag of bread, tore it into small pieces and threw it out the window. The first piece of bread was thrown out, maybe the birds didn't notice it, and the bread fell on the lake. At this time, a sharp-eyed white gull saw it, and saw it rushing towards the water with a "whoosh", and in the blink of an eye it was I only saw it holding the piece of bread in its mouth and soaring into the blue sky. The whole process took less than 3 seconds, as neatly as flowing water. As a result, the white gulls who had tasted the sweetness circled and flew low around the ship.

The second time I threw the bread into the air, but before the bread could fall to the lake, a white gull rushed over with "quick eyes and quick hands", caught the bread and hovered by my window, as if to thank me!

It is extremely pleasant to sit by the window of the cruise ship, enjoying the slightly cool spring breeze and admiring the vigorous figure of the white gulls!
