Robbery in Nha Trang, South Vietnam

I wrote a story about the robbery in Nha Trang, South Vietnam-a mobile phone was robbed thousands of miles away, and Wan Li was lucky to get it back.

No matter which city Vietnam is, it is a big motorcycle country. Only those who have been to Vietnam will know the bustling crowds and endless roads there. Vietnam is different from what we imagined, and all kinds of worries before departure were swept away.

At that time, Nha Trang was full of tall buildings, which was a bit like China's reform and opening up.

Although at the airport, the tour guide repeatedly emphasized the safety of going to Vietnam, I think this small country with only 330,000 square kilometers of narrow land and a population of 90.73 million is no more dangerous than India I have been to!

So, two days passed safely, and on the night of 17, we relaxed our vigilance: on the way back to Joy Trip Hotel after dinner, the original six people walked together, and now the two groups have separated and parted ways. Considering that a large group of people were having a leading group meeting in China, at 8: 20 (Vietnam time), I also took out my mobile phone and looked down the street (the tour guide told me that I was in danger of being robbed by a motorcycle if I took the outside road).

However, the danger came inadvertently: a middle-aged Vietnamese man in a hat and mask suddenly jumped out of my left hand and took my mobile phone; At first I thought it was a friend's joke, but later I realized that my left hand couldn't move, but it was taken away. When my friend Wang Xiaoping suddenly chased the gangster, the gangster ran away from me. I saw the gangster suddenly turn around and turn into a wasteland surrounded by walls. We chased it in the dark, and we chased a manhole cover that looked like a hole. Reason tells me that I can't chase it anymore. If you chase again, the consequences will be unimaginable-tripping, falling, being bitten by a snake, falling into a pit and so on. The gangster turned and walked towards the front wall; Wang Xiaoping fell and was injured in three places.

The three of us chased the murderer and shouted all the way, which alarmed the people behind the wall. We only heard cheers, and we guessed that the gangster had returned to his "den of thieves". Therefore, I can only return to the hotel less than 50 meters away.

Recalling that the tour guide said that everyone who got on and off the plane was robbed, it was impossible to get it back after being robbed. Everyone felt that there was no need to report the loss to the domestic telephone company.

We live above the hotel. About an hour later, the hotel maid informed us to go downstairs and had something important to tell us. My companion Wang Xiaoping went downstairs, and the waitress said, "The gangster caught him". This is really a strange thing! Asked why, the young lady said: When we were chasing gangsters, they jumped off the wall and were caught by the locals. Miss asked us to wait, and the police immediately sent someone to let me take a statement at the police station.

An hour later, the police car picked me up with a guide and an interpreter, and Wang Xiaoping went with me.

When I arrived at the police station, I saw the gangster as soon as I entered the door, as if my leg was broken. He gave me a bad look to show that he was unlucky. Next, I saw the brave young man who bravely caught the gangster. If you are in China, you should definitely give this kind of behavior a heavy reward. At that time, I made up my mind to give 300 yuan RMB as a reward (the foreign exchange RMB that Vietnamese "love"). This figure is the basic reward for Vietnam after I asked the tour guide in advance. Wang Xiaoping is being negotiated, and the police have let him go first.

Then, a policeman took out my robbed mobile phone and asked me if I was robbed. I didn't recognize it at once, because my original mobile phone was wrapped in a plastic case with 100 RMB in cash, and now it's gone. Wang Xiaoping was very reasonable and reminded me not to mention that 100 yuan, otherwise the police would be embarrassed. Afterwards, Wang Xiaoping explained to me that this 100 yuan was obviously taken away by the police.

Then, we entered the conference room, and a huge statue of President Ho Chi Minh was placed in front of the spacious conference room. There are four or five people sitting on a rectangular table in the middle. The gangster's "accomplice", the lookout, was also invited by the police officer from the gangster's mobile phone communication. He was sitting still.

The police asked me to take notes, and what they said was conveyed to us through an interpreter. The "testimony" I wrote was also translated by the translator.

There seems to be no "twists and turns" in the dialogue between Chinese and foreign people that we usually see on TV; But in real life, this requires translators to spend a lot of energy on text conversion, so I have always respected the hard work of translators.

Ask and answer, ask and stop, transfer this officer for a while, and change that officer for a long time until one o'clock in the evening. Wang Xiaoping, who knows the military, told me that these policemen are carrying a bar and two bars on their shoulders, which is estimated to be the rank of major.

Then, the tour guide called a car to take us and the interpreter home respectively. I immediately decided to send a tour guide to translate RMB in 300 yuan. The tour guide from China, a little girl from Aba, Sichuan, refused to accept it several times. Xiaoping and I tried our best to get her to accept the money.

The next day, Wang Xiaoping and I took photos on the top floor of the hotel where we were robbed yesterday, so that we could see the terrain clearly.

During the trip, what documents did the police ask us to sign at the next higher police station? Here, we saw "his accomplice" carry the gangster with leg injury onto the prison car and transfer it to the place where the criminal was held. I also pointed it out and scolded him. According to the police, this is a fugitive who has committed seven deadly crimes.

In the "advanced" police station, things have to wait one by one; But outside, the tour bus waited for nearly an hour. I suddenly remembered the "bribery" method of doing business in Vietnam, just like when entering the customs, everyone had a RMB of 10 yuan in their passport book, so I immediately took out 100 and put it in my folder and handed it to the police. This is the end.

On the third day of the accident, the police sent someone to my hotel to announce the whole process of handling this matter and asked me if I needed to claim compensation. At that time, I was frightened by the cumbersome procedures. I said no, thank them.
