Brief introduction of Bachu Red Sea Scenic Area

The Red Sea Scenic Area is located in Anakule Township 14 Village, bachu county, and is 0/2km away from Bachu County/Kloc-0. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot.

It consists of Kashi River Wetland, Red Sea Water Park, Silk Road Station and Populus euphratica. It is an ecological scenic spot integrating lakes, rivers, grasslands, wetlands, Gobi and Populus euphratica. Relying mainly on the Silk Road, it connects water features, desert Populus euphratica and humanistic customs in series, attracting many tourists with its ancient civilization, desert oasis, hometown of Populus euphratica and magnificent scenery.

The Red Sea Scenic Area was established in 2009. It consists of Kashi River Wetland, Red Sea Water Park, Silk Road Station and Huyanghai. It is a rare original ecological tourist base of Populus euphratica in southern Xinjiang, with the Silk Road as the golden thread, connecting water features, desert Populus euphratica and humanistic customs in series.

Bachu county is located in the southwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at the southern foot of Tianshan Mountain and at the northwest edge of Tarim Basin. It is connected with Awati and Mo Yuxian in Aksu region in the east, Pishan county in shache county, Mohammad county and Hotan region in the south, Jiashi county, Yuepuhu county, Atushi county and Acheqi county in Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture in the west, and Keping mountain in Aksu region in the north.

The terrain inclines from southwest to northeast, and the main landform features are desert, mountain, flood plain and alluvial plain. There are historical and cultural relics in bachu county, such as the ruins of Weitou Zhoucheng in the Tang Dynasty, the ruins of ancient beacon towers and the ancient tomb of Karam Dahlback, as well as natural landscapes such as golden Populus euphratica, desert scenery and plain lakes.
