4. Tangshan Earthquake Memorial Hall

The Tangshan Earthquake Memorial Hall is located on the west side of the Tangshan Earthquake Memorial Square. The total construction area is 5380 square meters. The architectural design of the memorial hall is novel and unique. The square hall in the middle stands tall, surrounded by circular mansions. The roof is high in the west and low in the east, in the shape of a staircase, sloping toward the center of the square. In the center of the hall stands Comrade Jiang Zemin's inscription for the people of Tangshan. At the same time, the Tangshan Earthquake Memorial was built. The four pillars of the main monument symbolize the rise of new buildings in Tangshan and show the prosperity of Tangshan. The top of the main monument is shaped like four giant hands reaching toward the sky, symbolizing man's victory over heaven. There are 4 steps around the monument, each with 7 steps, the last of which is 28 steps, symbolizing July 28 (July 28, 1976).

5. Bodhi Island

Bodhi Island, formerly known as Shijiutuo, is located on the southwest coast of Laoting County, Hebei Province. It is a sandy island on the coast of the Bohai Sea and the largest island in northern China. It is surrounded by ridges and lowlands in the middle. It is shaped like a stone mortar used to stir rice, hence the name Shijiu Tuo.

Due to the large number of Bodhi trees growing on the island, Buddhism once flourished on the island, hence the name Bodhi Island. It has the characteristics of eight islands: desert island, sea island, sand island, big island, green island, bird island, sun and moon island, and Buddha island. The second floor of Tianwang Temple has a unique design. The entire temple is a pavilion, also called the Angle Temple.
