How to use a bank card or cash to travel to Korea?
Renminbi cards with UnionPay logo issued by mainland banks can be used in Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand.
Before leaving the country, cardholders can log on to the international business section of China UnionPay website to inquire about relevant information, including: the list of card issuers that can accept UnionPay cards overseas, the instructions for card use, overseas UnionPay merchants and ATM addresses. In addition, there are overseas credit card promotion information that is launched from time to time.
When using UnionPay cards in Korea, you must recognize the UnionPay logo posted on the ATM of the merchant or bank, and only the places where the UnionPay logo is posted can accept UnionPay cards.
There are many ATMs in Korea that can be cashed with UnionPay debit cards. Customers don't need to deposit foreign currency in the card, but directly deduct RMB funds from the card, so please deposit enough RMB before going abroad. It should be noted that not all ATMs in Korea are labeled with UnionPay logo, but as long as you see the logo of Citibank or Pulse on the ATM, you can withdraw cash with UnionPay debit card.
