Four Ancient Bridges in China
Guangji Bridge 1
Guangji Bridge is a famous cultural relic tourist attraction in Chaoshan area, one of the four ancient bridges in China, a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national AAAA-level scenic spot. It is located outside the East Gate of Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. Guangji Bridge spans the Han River and connects the east and west banks, integrating beam bridge, pontoon bridge and arch bridge. It was the transportation hub from Guangdong to Fujian and Zhejiang in ancient times, and was once praised as "the earliest opening and closing bridge in the world" by Mao Yisheng, a famous bridge expert.
2. Zhao Zhouqiao
Zhao Zhouqiao is located on the Weihe River in Zhao County, Hebei Province, spanning more than 37 meters wide. The bridge is all made of stone. It is the oldest, longest span and best preserved single-hole open-shouldered stone arch bridge in the world. Zhao Zhouqiao was built in the Sui Dynasty from 595 to 605, designed and built by the famous craftsman Li Chun, with a history of 1400 years.
3. Lugou Bridge
Lugou Bridge is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and the largest ancient multi-culvert circular arch bridge in China. It is located about 15km southwest of Beijing. Named after crossing Lugou River (Yongding River), it is an eleven-span composite arch bridge. The whole bridge is a stone structure, and the key parts are connected by silver ingots and tenons. It is the longest ancient stone bridge in northern China.
4. Luoyang Bridge
Luoyang Bridge, formerly known as "Wan 'an Bridge", is a bridge connecting the Taiwanese investment zone in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, China and Luojiang District. Located on the Luoyang River, it is also a famous cross-sea beam stone bridge, which is known as the "first bridge on the sea". Luoyang Bridge is located at the junction of quanzhou taiwanese investment zone and Luojiang District. It starts from Caixiang Road in the north, crosses Luoyang River and reaches Qiaonan Road in the west. The bridge is 834 meters long and 7 meters wide.

The oldest of the four ancient bridges is Zhao Zhouqiao. Zhao Zhouqiao was built in Sui Dynasty, designed and built by craftsmen, and was later named Anji Bridge by Zhao and renamed.
