Yangmingshan

Yangmingshan is located in the northeast of the Taipei Basin, spanning Taipei County and City (Taipei County is now called New Taipei City), Keelung and Yilan. Alishan

Alishan is nearly 72 kilometers away from Chiayi City and has an altitude of 2,216 meters. It is the watershed of Qingshui and Zeng Wenyu Creeks. In addition, there is Heshe Creek in the east that flows north to Nantou. Alishan is one of the three major virgin forestlands in Taiwan (the other two are Baxian Mountain and Taiping Mountain). It is also the first forestry area in Taiwan and is known as the "Treasure House of Taiwan's Forests". The forest has three major characteristics: 1. Natural virgin forest. 2. It is called Batongguan in the Bunun language and is called Batongguan in Japan. People call it the new high mountain. The main peak is 3952 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak in Taiwan. Among the hundreds of mountains in Taiwan, Yushan, Snow Mountain, Xiuguluan Mountain, Nanhu Mountain, and Beidawu Mountain are collectively called the "Five Mountains" and are the five most representative mountains in Taiwan.
