Diplomatic passports are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2. Diplomatic passports are mainly issued to Chinese government officials above the level of vice ministers, vice governors, etc., chief and deputy heads of important party, government, and military delegations, as well as diplomatic and consular officials and their Accompanying spouse, minor children, diplomatic couriers, etc.

3. Official passports are issued to staff of Chinese government departments at all levels, Chinese diplomatic missions abroad, consular agencies and staff of the United Nations organizational system and its relevant specialized agencies, as well as their accompanying spouses. , minor children, etc. An official passport is a passport issued to national civil servants. Some countries also call such passports for government officials "official passports." The passport is marked with "official" SERVICE or "official" OFFICAL. In addition, all countries issue such passports to staff in embassies (consulates) stationed abroad who do not have diplomatic status, as well as their spouses and adult children. The official passport has a green cover, and there is also a black cover official passport. Its function is equivalent to the ordinary passport in the past, and it is different from the green cover official passport. Official passports are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the People's Republic of China and the country's embassies and consulates abroad, or other overseas agencies entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the foreign affairs departments of the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and districted cities entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

: Refugee passport, also known as Nam-Sen passport, is an international identity document developed to solve the problems of entry, exit, residence and employment of refugees. This kind of passport is a passport recommended by Nan Sen, the League of Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, to be issued to refugees, and is called the Nan Sen passport.
