Due to the meandering cutting change of Huaihe River and its tributaries in modern times and the influence of the southward invasion of the Yellow River in the early stage, the alluvial deposits in Fuyang City alternately accumulate, forming the alternating distribution of plains, hills, slopes and depressions, and the topography of residential areas fluctuates greatly, which has the geomorphological characteristics of "big flat and small uneven".
