When Emperor Wu of the Liang Dynasty first climbed the mountain, he wrote "The best country in the world" to praise its beauty. It is now embedded on the corridor wall and was copied by Wu Ju of the Song Dynasty. Ganlu Temple, which stands majestically on the top of the mountain, was built during the Three Kingdoms period. According to legend, it was the place where Liu Bei recruited his relatives. It is said that "Beigu Temple crowns the mountain". The iron tower next to the temple was built in the first year of Yuanfeng in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is exquisite and translucent and is quite enjoyable to watch. There are many scenic towers on the top of the mountain. Looking at the Yangtze River in the distance, with boats dotted and the vast mist, you feel your mind is open. Xin Qiji of the Song Dynasty wrote the famous poem "Wherever you look at China, you will see the scenery of Beigu Tower" here.

In ancient times, Xijin Ferry was an important port in southeastern my country for transporting grain, silk and other materials north to the capital. Famous poets of the Tang and Song Dynasties, such as Li Bai, Meng Haoran, Su Shi, and Lu You, all waited for ships and landed here, leaving behind chapters that will be passed down to the world. It was one of the six major anti-Japanese base areas in the country, and there were Maoshan New Fourth Army Memorial Hall and monuments.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the largest ordination place in the country. More than 70% of the country's monks were ordained here. Because of its strict discipline, it is known as the "No. 1 Mountain of Vinaya". The scenery of Baohua Mountain is unique and beautiful, and the temple is hidden in the mountain. "The mountain is like lotus petals, and the temple is in the heart of the lotus." The temple is surrounded by green pines and cypresses, and there are nine caves and four pools in the mountain, which is profound and magical.
