Bailong Lake Scenic Area is located in Bailuo Mountain, Bailuo Village, Yuezhe Town, 28km west of Qiubei County, and 15km away from Puzhehei Scenic Area in Qiubei, Wenshan Prefecture. It is an artificial reservoir, built at 1958, with an altitude of1494m. The reservoir has a total storage capacity of 53.7 million cubic meters, a dam height of 30.36 meters, a top length of 260 meters, a width of 4 meters, an average water depth of 27 meters and a water area of 3 square kilometers. It is one of the eight large and medium-sized reservoirs in Yunnan Province.

Because it was built in the era of "General Line, Great Leap Forward and People's Commune", it is also called "Hongqi Reservoir". The reservoir undertakes the irrigation of 365,438+10,000 mu of farmland in the county and directly benefits more than 200,000 people, so it is also called the "mother river" of Qiubei people.
