The origins of wine tourism

Wine tourism emerged in the Alsace region of France in the 1950s and expanded to the Bourgogne region in the 1970s. Since wine tourism meets people's purpose of carrying out special interest travel activities in specific destinations, wine tourism has developed rapidly in wine-producing areas in Europe, America, the South Pacific, Africa and other regions since the 1990s, producing many well-known wines.
