Shagang vermicelli is produced in Fang Xin, Zhao Lu, Zhaotan, Donganzhuang, Xujiawan and other villages in the northwest of LAM Raymond Town, Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province. Farmers here have been making dried vermicelli as a sideline. Dried noodles are a traditional non-staple food of Han nationality. Shagang vermicelli has a long history. According to Yongjia County Records, Shagang vermicelli has become a delicacy in the Song Dynasty. Today, it is still a tourist food and commodity in nanxi river and a unique tourist product in Yongjia County. Yongjia also applied to Wenzhou to include these two handicraft skills in Wenzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection List. Shagang dried vermicelli is boxed, easy to carry and exported abroad.
