Two-day travel guide from Wuhan to Changsha

Traveling from Wuhan to Changsha is a short-distance experience that many young people prefer. After all, it is very convenient to take the high-speed rail or drive between the two provincial capitals. So, what are the fun places and delicious food to visit in Changsha?

DAY1 May Day Square, Hunan Provincial Museum

Wuhan-Changsha, thanks to the Beijing-Kowloon Line and Beijing-Guangzhou Line, there are too many high-speed rail trains to choose from, so we work normally and choose Trains departing around 8:40.

(PS: We are still during the epidemic. We remind everyone to wear masks when traveling. Another point is that Changsha Railway Station will require health codes. However, the local health codes in Changsha may be too crowded at the train exit, so it is not very It’s easy to scan it out. The Wuhan health code can be provided directly, which is also recognized)

Let’s start our food journey.

1. Wuyi Square

The food in Changsha is relatively concentrated, basically near Wuyi Square. As soon as you get out of the high-speed rail station, you can take Metro Line 2 (please download the Changsha Metro APP in advance) and go straight to Wuyi Square. Because Changsha South Station is the penultimate station on Line 2, there were a lot of people when you first got off the train. It is recommended that you first sit back at the terminus of Line 2, Everbright Station, so that you can go to Wuyi Square.

Convenient transportation

In addition, it is recommended to book a hotel nearby. There are hotels in all price ranges, so you can do whatever you want.

The most famous ones near Wuyi Square are IFS International Gold Center and Huangxing Pedestrian Street. Of course, the most famous one is the Modern Chinese Tea Shop. It is a 50-meter store, but you do need to queue for every store.

The first stop is Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street

Find the place with the most queues, which is basically true. We had delicious stinky tofu at Black Classic on Huangxing Road.

At noon, we also had a hearty chili fried pork meal prepared by Chef Fei at Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street. There is no need to queue when I go at 11:50. After I finished eating, there was a long queue at the door after 1 o'clock.

After lunch, I also walked to the hotel to check in (the advantage of a hotel near Wuyi Square). There are still many modern Chinese tea shops along the way, and I will not step in at any point. Of course, I would like to ask my queen here whether Yulan Latte is the best. Push it.

2) Hunan Provincial Museum

After a short rest at the hotel, take a taxi to the Hunan Provincial Museum, where you can appreciate the cultural charm of Hunan. Tickets for the Hunan Provincial Museum need to be booked online three days in advance. There are not many people queuing up on weekends, so the building is majestic. The areas that can be visited are mainly the history of "Hunanese" on the second floor and "Mawangdui" on the third floor.

It is the largest history and art museum with rich collections in Hunan Province, covering an area of ??49,000 square meters and a total construction area of ??91,000 square meters. It is one of the first batch of national first-class museums.

III) Super Wenheyou/Taiping Street/Pozi Street/Jiefang West Road

After we visited the museum, time just passed 5 o'clock. We heard that Chaowen and You had to queue up, so we quickly took a taxi to Hisense Plaza and queued up. It's almost 6 o'clock, and there are already more than 2,000 tables in front of us.

Anyway, the main features are Hunan cuisine, crayfish, and decoration that imitates modern style.

One thing that needs to be emphasized is that Changsha is full of cultural and tourist attractions. After dinner, we planned to go shopping on Pozi Street. As soon as we turned on the navigation, we found it very close at hand. It only took a few minutes to walk around. To be honest, Wen Heyou mainly enjoys the atmosphere and not enough. So we quickly went to Pozi Street to chat about fans. Then you can press the surrounding roads. Basic route: Pozi Street - Fire Palace - Jiefang West Road - Taiping Old Street - Wuyi Avenue (you can choose to go to the riverside to enjoy the breeze).

DAY2 Yuelu Mountain-Juzizhou-Changjun Middle School Snack Street

You can see us My schedule was quite tight, so I slept a little longer the next morning and left the hotel at 9 o'clock. The morning in Changsha is, of course, awkward. Take a taxi (it is said that taxis in Changsha are really good and more efficient than Didi). You said you should go to Bus Xincun Noodle House, and the chef would come over with a smile. Then you told us that they often go to this restaurant to eat, but it is around 8pm and there are not many people. When we arrived, there was no problem queuing up, and we were online quickly. We asked for beef noodles and pork ribs, which is true.

After breakfast, warm your belly and go hiking. There are two gates in Yuelu Mountain, namely the east gate and the south gate. Yuelu Academy, Hunan University, etc. They are all at the south gate, while Orange Island is closer to the east gate.

Our tour route is Yuelu Academy-Yuelu Mountain-Juzizhou. If you turn it upside down, it will naturally be the east gate.

Another thing to mention is that only the east gate has a ropeway, but there will be a minibus at the south gate of the east gate to take you up and down the mountain. The fare is 20 yuan one way.

After coming down the mountain, I ate fish head at a Hunan restaurant near Wangyue Park. It's very spicy and delicious.

I wish you all a bright future.

After dinner, we took a taxi from Wangyue Park to the west side of the Juzizhou Bridge, and then walked across the Juzizhou Bridge because the bridge was too congested.

Grandpa Mao is very vivid.

For Orange Island Tour, you can buy electronic tickets for the tour bus online. Walking takes time. After all, we bought it in a hurry, 40 per person.

After visiting Orange Island, you can go to Qiaotou and take Metro Line 2 to Line 1 to Changjun Middle School Snack Street, where you can have dinner.

Tang Jiyou Tuotuo

After the last wave of fighting, we rushed to the train station, took the high-speed train at 7 o'clock, and arrived in Wuhan smoothly. Ps: You can also buy Modern Chinese Tea Shop after stopping at the train station. Try to buy it at the store above Exit B, because it doesn’t look very nice when you arrive at the station. You don’t have to queue and you can have a cup in 15 minutes.
