Traveling with my son (1)
We took off from Xi Xianyang International Airport at two in the morning and flew directly to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. After more than ten hours of turbulence, the plane landed in Paris at 8 am local time on the 30th. The time difference between Europe and China is seven hours. When you arrive in Europe, do as the Romans do and watch the local time.
Paris
The driver took us to the hotel door, said goodbye to us and left. I can't wait to go to Paris. Buying a ticket at the subway station, my son lives in Europe and thinks it is cost-effective to buy a package ticket. He said the one-way ticket is one and a half euros, and the package ticket is three and a half euros. You can take all the means of transportation in the city. At the end of the day, it has exceeded three and a half euros.
It rained on the first day in Paris, the temperature dropped to more than ten degrees, and the wind was cold. Some people have put on down jackets in an exaggerated way. From Xi 'an, where the temperature is 38 degrees, to Paris, where the temperature is only a dozen degrees, it's really a bit uncomfortable.
Take the subway to the bustling area of Paris. The first stop is the Military Museum. There are several cannons squatting in the yard, telling the past history.
From the military museum, the Eiffel Tower is on your left. Walk there. The weather is clear and blue, and there are big white clouds floating on it, which looks very comfortable. This is rare in Xi. It is said that the air abroad is good.
I saw the iron tower from a distance and took some distant views. Walking on the lawn, a Middle Eastern asked his son to take a picture of them. It looks like a family. The four people are divided into two stations, with the iron tower in the middle. They thought the foreigner was very creative, and then we asked him to take a photo. There is a distance between us, and the iron tower is sandwiched in the middle like them. Foreigners will get the message when they think of us standing like this. Who would have thought that foreigners would only take pictures of their sons and not me at all? What do you mean? The son said generously, forget it! The foreigner seemed dissatisfied with our expression and asked to take another photo for us. As a result, we are surrounded by big heads, which looks like taking selfies. What's terrible is that we actually carried the iron tower on our backs and made a big taboo in taking pictures.
I walked past the iron tower and got on the Seine River Bridge. There happened to be a cruise ship passing by on the river, so I took a background photo. After crossing the bridge, my son said it was time for lunch. The time difference between Xi and Paris is 7 hours, and dinner has already been eaten by this time. I can't believe I'm not hungry. My son must be hungry. Well, we'll eat it then.
Next to the bridge is a pavilion selling food. Blonde foreigners go there to remind me that this is the west and eat western food. I don't like standing in front of the booth and looking around. Hot dogs look good, and when they close their eyes, they despair. I pointed to my son, and there he was! My son ordered a sandwich. When I held the hot dog in my hand, an unpleasant smell floated into my nose, and I lost my appetite at once. I took a bite and almost vomited. My son kindly let me try his sandwich, which was better than my hot dog, so we exchanged.
After the worst lunch of my life, we walked on and saw a tall and magnificent building. Many people walked in, and we walked in curiously. It turned out to be a church. As soon as I entered, my son put his finger on his lips and motioned for me to whisper. The churches here are much grander than those in China, which shows the importance they attach to religious beliefs.
Out of the church, walking in the street, two middle-aged people have been walking in front of us. Seen from the back, they are a man and a woman. The woman is wearing a skirt and the man is wearing gray long-sleeved trousers. But a closer look shows that the man is suspicious, wearing silver earrings, like those worn by rural aunts in China, and the sandals on his feet are also women's. Out of curiosity, we walked quickly in front of them. Looking back, we saw that this man had a haircut and looked like an oriental. His eyes are blue, his skin is yellow, his face is painful, he has no beard, his chest is flat, and he is bony. It's really impossible to tell whether he is a man or a woman.
Unconsciously arrived at the Arc de Triomphe, but it was a doorpost.
Go through the Arc de Triomphe and arrive at the Champs Elysé es. I'm not so shocked. The street is very wide, and there are many luxury shops lined up on both sides of the street. For a hillbilly like me who is not interested in luxury goods, this is simply a street.
The first time I saw the product label in front of the store, the European character of the euro was very similar to our Chinese characters. I recognized Mao at a glance and thought how cheap things in Paris were! I didn't ask my son, but I couldn't figure it out.
There is no public toilet on the Champs Elysé es. I first looked in a small shopping mall, but there was no result. My son is very clever. He will go to McDonald's. There must be a toilet. Follow big m. Sure enough, there is a McDonald's with many people. It seems that poor people are everywhere! McDonald's is the cheapest western food. In China, look for a toilet with a nose, follow the source of the smell, and be sure to find one. Looking for toilets abroad, you can still find them without knowing a foreign language. Just like at home, use a man and a woman to represent the toilet. McDonald's does have a toilet, which helps us solve the internal emergencies smoothly.
When you are tired from walking, sit on the street and have a rest. Don't think that the blue sky and white clouds in foreign countries must be spotless. Wrong, the ground is still full of rubbish. After walking for a long time, my shoes are covered with dust.
There are two foreigners sitting next to them, one black and one white. I wonder what their relationship is. Acquaintances? I don't know. Let my son take a picture of me with them as the background and send it home to prove that I have really been to France. The two men looked at us taking pictures, as if they had discussed it, and turned their heads to one side in protest.
Have a good rest and move on.
My son is standing in the street, using his mobile phone to find the way to the Louvre. With the internet, it is convenient. He pointed out the direction with a movement of his finger. On the way to the Louvre, I saw a small lake, and many people were sitting around in the sun. I have long heard that Europeans love sunbathing, and it really is sunbathing. If they were in China, they would have taken an umbrella. Looking around, walking and resting, no one is holding an umbrella. We also sat by the lake and rested. Gradually, our hearts sank, and we became less impetuous.
Finally arrived at the Louvre. It is said that it is the largest museum in the world, and it is really big. It takes at least a day to go around.
It is quite difficult to find Notre Dame de Paris. The son found the direction with his mobile phone and walked over. He was blocked by a river. After crossing the river, he didn't know which direction to go. He took a trip and thought it was wrong. There are not many pedestrians in the street. As a tourist attraction, it should be bustling. The son carefully studied the direction indicated on the mobile phone and firmly said that it was just ahead. When he walked forward, he saw more people, and soon he saw the high top of Notre Dame, where quasimodo climbed. There is a long line of visitors to Notre Dame. My son made a visual inspection and said it would take at least an hour.
My son thinks I didn't eat well at noon. It is his long-cherished wish to take me on a trip this time. He didn't say anything. He must be thinking that I can't be wronged at all.
My son suggested going to the Chinese area for dinner at night, and we took the subway directly from Notre Dame to Huaren Street.
Only when I got on the subway did I know that there are really many black people in Paris, and some places in Africa are inhabited by French people. Looking around, it was dark, and they gave off a strange smell similar to the onion oil mixture, which made people vomit. There is really no way. Who makes my sense of smell untimely and sensitive?
When I got out of the subway station and saw those tall buildings, I felt very strange. Isn't there no modern architecture in Europe? My son said that this is a Chinese area, so there are tall buildings.
The Wonton Noodles we ate was opened by Hong Kong people. They chat in Cantonese. In a foreign country, although I can't understand it as soon as possible, I think it will always be Chinese characters, which makes me feel so kind and sweet.
Wonton Noodles is a special food in Hongkong, that is, noodles mixed with jiaozi. Although we northerners are not used to this collocation, compared with the western food at noon, Wonton Noodles is simply delicious in distant Paris.
