Qiu Yuefeng died of suicide. On that Monday morning in March 1980, as soon as I walked into the green room, I felt that the atmosphere was not right. There was no laughter as usual, and there were no smiles on everyone's faces.

I asked Wu Jingwei who was sitting opposite me what happened. He said sit down first. I listened to his words and sat down. He said: "Qiu Yuefeng is dead!" Why he died has always been a mystery to me. He was good to his wife. During those two years, when watermelons were hard to buy, he bought some and took them home by bicycle on a hot day. His wife was even more caring about him. His wife worked in the production team and had a limited salary. She could save money and buy him ginseng. She lived frugally and worked hard to support the family... Why did he suddenly die after spending most of his life? ? What a pity he died! What a pity! ! !

The first time I heard the name Qiu Yuefeng was in the mid-1940s.
