Nyalam county belongs to Mount Qomolangma Nature Reserve, with two core reserves (Xixiabangma Peak and Xuebugang Core Reserve), a scientific experimental zone (Nyalam Scientific Experimental Zone), Bolong Township Animal Husbandry Economic Development Zone and Yalai, Menbu, Zuo Zuo and Nailong Economic Development Zones. The territory is rich in animal and plant resources, tourism resources and water resources. There are many kinds of primitive forest plants in Zhangmu town, including national first-class protected animals and rare trees. Among them, there are many medicinal plants, mainly producing Cordyceps sinensis, Fritillaria, Angelica sinensis and Saussurea involucrata 130 kinds of precious medicinal materials. Rare birds and animals thrive, including roe deer, snow leopard, red panda, Tibetan snow, antelope and Tibetan wild donkey 100. There is also the 17th peak in the world-Xixiabangma Peak at an altitude of 80 12m, and there are 8 snow peaks above 7000m. The transportation in the county is convenient. China-Nepal Highway (National Highway 3 18), known as the "golden tourist route", runs through 3 townships and 2 towns in the county, and is an important economic artery in the county and even the whole region. The county has basically formed a three-level highway network of counties and villages.
