Zhongnan Mountain and Taibai Mountain are both mountains in the Qinling Mountains and are two parts.
Zhongnan Mountain is characterized by the geological relics of the Qinling orogenic belt, Quaternary geological relics, landform relics and ancient human relics.
The park consists of the Cuihua Mountain landslide landform park, the Lishan rift horst structural park, the ice crystal top ductile shear zone and structural mixed lithification park, the Yushan island arc granite peak and ridge landform park, and the South Taibai plate collision. Zhongnan Mountain
Zhongnan Mountain is the birthplace of the Quanzhen sect of Taoism, also known as Taiyi Mountain, Difei Mountain, Zhongnan Mountain, Zhounan Mountain, referred to as Nanshan. "Blessings are like the long flowing water of the East China Sea, and longevity is as long as the immortal pines of Nanshan Mountain." Nanshan refers to Zhongnan Mountain. In the Zhou Dynasty, Zhongnan Mountain and Taibai Mountain were collectively called Taiyi Mountain.
Since Yin Xicao created the Louguan, all dynasties have built it in Zhongnan Mountain. Qin Shihuang once built a temple to worship Laozi in the south of Louguan, and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty built Laozi Temple in Taipei where he preached scriptures. During the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, famous Taoists from the north gathered in Louguan, built more temples, and created the Louguan Taoist school.
In the Tang Dynasty, the Li Tang clan regarded Laozi, the founder of Taoism, as their holy ancestor and vigorously respected Taoism. Especially because Qi Hui, a Taoist priest in Louguan, had sponsored Li Yuan's uprising. be favored. At the beginning of Wude (618-626), the large-scale Zongsheng Palace was built. Taibai Mountain has a long history. The modern geographical definition of Taibai Mountain includes the original Taibai Mountain, Aoshan Mountain and Xipoma Liang connecting the two. The original Taibai Mountain and Aoshan Mountain faced each other east and west, and were also known as the East and West Taibai Mountains.
