What ancient buildings are there in Hangzhou?

The ancient buildings in Hangzhou include Leifeng Pagoda, Yuefei Temple, Pagoda of Six Harmonies, Lingyin Temple and Song Cheng.

Leifeng Pagoda, also known as Princess Pagoda and Xiguan Brick Pagoda, is located on Leifeng Mountain in Zhao Xi on the south bank of West Lake Scenic Area in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The Leifeng Pagoda was originally built by Wu Wang and He Yi in 977 AD as a tribute to the Buddha's hair relics.

It was named "Imperial Princess Tower" because it coincided with the commemoration of Qian Hongchu's wife Sun Shi in the Northern Song Dynasty, shortly after her death. Later, because of its mountain name "Leifeng Pagoda", it was gradually called "Leifeng Pagoda".

2. Yuefei Temple

Yuefei Temple, located at No.86 Yuemiao Street, tangyin county, Henan Province, is also known as Jingzhong Temple, and later called "Song Yue Chongwu Temple". It is a temple built to commemorate Yue Fei (1103-1142), a famous anti-gold general in the Southern Song Dynasty and a famous national hero in China. This site was rebuilt in the first year of Jingtai (AD 1450). Built in past dynasties, it has gradually become a complete ancient architectural complex.

3. Pagoda of Six Harmonies

Pagoda of Six Harmonies is located in the south of the West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, on the Moon Mountain by the Qiantang River. It is one of the most perfect ancient brick and wood pagodas in China. Pagoda of Six Harmonies was built in Kaifeng in the Northern Song Dynasty for three years (AD 970). Zen master Zhiyuan is a monk who created it for Zhenjiang tide and named it Six Harmony Pagoda according to the Buddhist meaning of "Six Harmony Worship". The present Pagoda of Six Harmonies was rebuilt in the Southern Song Dynasty.

4. Lingyin Temple

Lingyin Temple, also known as Yunlin Temple, is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, facing the North Peak and Feilai Peak. Built in the first year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (326), it covers an area of about 87,000 square meters. The founder of Lingyin Temple is West Indian monk Huili. In the Southern Dynasties, Liang Wudi granted land and expanded it.

5. Cheng Song

Song Cheng is located in Zhijiang Road 148, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, which is located in Zhijiang Tourist Resort, covering an area of about 300 mu. It is the first large-scale man-made theme park in Hangzhou.

Song Cheng is the first theme park in Hangzhou that embodies the cultural connotation of the Song Dynasty. It was built in the style of the Song Dynasty. The main building is based on the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival by Zhang Zeduan, a painter in the Northern Song Dynasty, and is built with reference to the book Architectural Style in the Song Dynasty.
